Read the assembly instructions carefully…the washer in the base is not as it appears.
The lamp came very securely packed in a styrofoam cube…no damage at all. After reading reviews of other lamps purchased online, was pleased to discover that all of the sections had matching paint and a very nice finish. The rod sections all had quality threading, and screwed solidly together with no wiggle. I was a bit flummoxed attaching the base at first, then figured out that the bottom rod went *through* the washer attached to the base, after which the loose washer was screwed on to secure it. After this revelation, the lamp was solid and wiggle free. The only upgrade I did was to replace the supplied bulb with one of the big 150w-equivalent IKEA globe LED bulbs, because I like a LOT of light when reading. All in all, this lamp looks great in my reading nook and does what it’s supposed to do…excellent value for the money. I had looked a similar lamp at a BIG BOX store, and like the proportions of this one better.

Great lamp!
This took me awhile to get together! The washer for the base is on the stand so sort of had to take things apart to try and get the base to attach. Iâm still not sure itâs super stable but it looks very nice and puts off good light! Overall, Iâm happy with the purchase

Good lamp, bad QC
It’s a good lamp, but assembly was unexpectedly annoying, but that could just be for me. What made me remove stars was QC-related things. Base was a little banged up on arrival and for some reason the threads for the center post are too long…they’re longer than the height of the base, meaning the lamp tilts. Eventually I’ll take a Dremel to it and fix it, but that shouldn’t be an issue out of the box.

Love the look but I received a defective base
I love the look of this product!! IKEA has a similar one but itâs dark grey which does not work for my apartment scheme.Only problem is the base I received for the light was defective. Itâs not smooth, there is a dent in the side like it was dropped before packaging.Kind of upset because when you buy something brand new you want it to be perfect and not look like itâs already been used for years. Hopefully the seller can send me another base so I can make this a 5 star review.

I threw it out.
The pieces didn’t fit together properly so it isn’t as sturdy as it should be. I bought this as a floor lamp for my office but it’s large and clunky. However, the reason I threw it out is it flickers. I tried several outlets and it’s not the outlet it’s the cheap lamp. Spent $50, used it for one week and tossed it. Big mistake.
