An unexpected Bargain!
This non slip stair strip was exactly what I was looking for. It fit the color I had in mind and the – sort of – herringbone weave worked as I wished it might. It is not a thick material and the sticky side that goes against the wooden stair initially gave me pause. Once down it is easily pulled up again which makes it easier to adjust and position it. But does it move? So far it has remained exactly in place and intentionally scuffing it has no effect. I only needed five pads and this was the only listing offering 4 in a batch as opposed to 12 or 15. I bought two batches of 4 for a total of around $20.00. On other sites it would have cost me a minimum of $150.00 with a waste of 8 to 10 pads. They may have been of a better quality (thicker) but not necessarily functionally better. They come folded so if you are not in a hurry you might want to lay them out with something heavy on them for a few days or longer. Itâs a little tricky getting the plastic off the back. Start in the middle as they recommend then tear it starting at the short side and working your way around and down the long side ( the easier of the two sides to tear). I have had it about a week now and I am pleased with it. If I had young children and pets running up and down the stairway 5 or 10 times a day, I might have second thoughts. But for me itâs just right.

Look great.
Ive had the in place for only about a week now but so far so good. My pup is missing a front paw and these give her way more grip and stability going up and down the steps. The entire backing is grippyâ¦ is that a word lol. Anyways the last set I had only had dotted spots of âgrippinessâ and wore out pretty quick. I think this set will last a lot longer. Iâll update if they wear out too

Glad I purchased these.
I really like the pattern and texture of the treads. They have a semi tacky backing so they stay in place, too. Would recommend.

My stairs look stylish
My stairs look stylishI was looking for a more affordable option to get my stairs a nice look for the holidays and this did it, I was able to cover all of them because it comes with so many in the box. My mother in law saw them and she got them as well!

RUGGED COVERINGS – NOT LINEN
The possibility of inadequate adhesion concerns me. I would make certain that any wax, polish, or similar slick floor finish is completely removed before installation and the surface is completely clean and dry. The use of a chemical solvent may be necessary. To put my mind at ease, I will be adding hidden carpet tacks around the border of each tread – anything to eliminate the possibility of a dangerous slip and fall injury.
