Received well packaged. The color is texture black.Very comfortable on the feet. They stick on pretty good. I Also vacuum them to try it out and no problem. Help also helps my pooch not to slip. Or if you are rushing down the stairs. I do recommend them. The glue underneath is pretty stable.

Make sure you clean your stairs first , then let them completely dry before placing them down.I just put them down today so I will give them a few days to see how they really stick

These have been a great stair protector!! i cleaned my stairs with a damp cloth and unpeeled the protective layer then the silicone bottom just kind of suctions to the floor. Its awesome. Easy peel up, no damage or glue and easy to clean. Can sweep, vacuum or even throw into washer. I purchased for my dog whose mobility has become worse and they gave him more confidence going down our hardware stairs. Also good for the kids and just feels warmer on your feet

I bought these for your older dog who gets scared on smooth floors and stairs. He is so slow and careful when coming down the stairs. So far after a couple of weeks these seem to give him more confidence with the stairs. I was worried when I installed them that the “adhesive” was not very sticky and they would come up within a few days. However, they was stayed in place, even after the appliance movers brought in and removed new & old washing machine and clothes dryer. Very happy with the products. I had a couple left over so I can replace any if they ever need. Not sure I’d remove them to wash. A quick vacuum to clean before that.

Excellent stair treads!
Update- One year later and these treads are still going strong! I have had zero issues with them lifting or moving. Great product!Easy to install. Great quality. I have had no issues with them lifting/moving around even with two adults and a dog going up and down the stairs multiple times a day. Highly recommend!

Wish I bought these sooner!
WOW! These runners exceeded my expectations. So easy to install and they look great. Comfortable to walk on barefoot and the cat likes them too. They are also very attractive. Would definitely purchase again and would rate them a 10 if I could!

Good so far
Put 13 of them on wood steps down to my lower level. Had them for a few months and seem to be holding up fairly well. These really don’t have an adhesive backing, it’s more similar to the way a cell phone glass protector adheres to the phone. It’s a bonding that requires a smooth surface.So tips for install:the steps need to be be sealed with a finish of some type. These will not adhere to raw wood unless you use an added adhesive glue product.Make sure you clean ALL dirt and dust from the steps before you install them, Any dust will adhere to the backing and it will not hold.Roll the tread to press the mat to the stair surface, especially on the edges.

Could be stickier
These are nice. They look good and are comfortable to walk on. Installation was easy. My dog is happy with them. I just think they could be stickier. A few corners are peeling up. I used some carpet tape on those corners and it seems to be holding.

Why did I wait so long to order these!
For some time now I’ve been wanting to get these especially so that our toddler grandson doesn’t slip on the stairs when he’s wearing socks. We just got them and not only do they look good but they serve their purpose! Even I feel safer walking down the wooden stairs. The adhesive seems to be holding no problem. Time will tell. They are the perfect size, too!
