I was able to install this by myself as a 5’ tall woman but definitely would have had it easier with help during the headboard installation. It was a little awkward holding the headboard while screwing it in to the sideboards. I added pics of my old queen size bed and my new king size bed to show the increase in space from this upgrade. My king bed is a 14.5” mattress from Stearns and Foster. I was concerned it would look too thick for the headboard but it looked goodIt took me longer to clean up the styrofoam pieces from the box than the assembly which took about 20min

I didn’t read all of the product descriptions carefully enough before I ordered this bed. The foot of the bed is the Japanese style joinery,.but the head of the bed is a more traditional screw together design made to look like Japanese joinery. I was disappointed by this and yes it does squeak from time to time from the headboard area.This bed is roughly half the price of competitors, so I guess you are getting what you pay for.Overall the bed still looks great. The materials feel like they are decent quality. Just beware if you are looking for a fully built with Japanese joinery bed because this isn’t it.

The wood is really rough, not sanded smoothly at all. Planning to return.

Real wood with a thoughtful design. The directions are clear and easy to follow. The headboard pattern is beautiful and does not protrude as much as it appears to in the photo. A real winner.
