Easy to use and easy to clean!
We use a Sous-Vide immersion cooker a lot. With that form of cooking, you often need to ‘finish’ the food, especially meat, to giver it color and a crust. After reading about this kitchen tool, I figured I would give it a try. We love it! First I tried sweet potato fries. Then I moved on to making a summer squash casserole by cooking the veggies first in the frier, then assembling the casserole and cooking it in the frier to blend the flavors. It turned out great. The veggies were still firm instead of mushy and wet, and the pork rind topping was crunchy. Then I ‘finished’ some Sous-vide chicken wings at over 400 degrees like I would in a full sized oven. This fryer is a stand alone kitchen tool, nothing else is needed to prepare your meal. Season raw chicken, put it in the fryer and let it go. It shuts off when the timer is done. The controls are a temperature dial, and the timer which turns it on. This is not digital: the timer actually ticks. You can not back the timer off once you set it. However, the locking handle on top turns the unit off, so you can just let the timer tick away until it is done. The handle will be the weak link if you just shove it down with out pressing the lock button. I bought this simple unit not only for it’s size, but because it is a Nutrichef sold by Pyle. I have another kitchen appliance by this same manufacturer. I had a problem with it after extensive use and nearing the end of the warranty period. I emailed them about my problem and had a new unit a week later. Customer service isn’t dead. This morning I tossed some ham in the fryer for breakfast. The ham fat was crisped, the ham itself was moist and there were no burn spots like you would get in a frying pan. This unit is a kitchen tool, not a gadget, and so simple even an old guy like me can use it.

UNFORTUNATELY, THESE UNITS JUST QUIT WORKING WAY TOO SOON……
We just cannot accept that the units crap out for a variety of reasons in less than 6 months. The most recent one being less than 4 months for us. I have contacted customer service and asked for a refund due to this issue. I also am contacting Amazon to weed out products that do not live up to their potential and making life miserable for the retail buying online customer…..UPDATE: 5-9 24went round and round with seller, no progress. In the end, they would not honor a refund or discount of any sort but simply after many many emails, asked me to send the unit back. They already knew through our communication that I tossed this piece of junk out when it quit. I told them I trouble shot the unit for everything (experienced at this) before tossing it in the nearest garbage pile.CONCLUSION:Amazon should make sure that units like this have a minimum operational time of at least 6 mos. and if it fails, it should be replaced immediately. Everyone that buys these knows that they just do not last long and the factory knows it as well……..STAY AWAY FROM NUTRICHEF AND THIS SELLER

This is a lovely easy to use and easy clean countertop air fryer. I know it will be used every night due to the healthiness and and ease of use. You also save on electric because you don’t have to heat up a large oven. There is also less heat in your home from cooking I love it. If you like crispy chicken skin, perfectly cook steak, chops and roast this is the cooker for you. I use mine every night.

Used it to cook for some pork chops, then later tried some French fries. It turned out crispy and works as expected. Also, no need to preheat or make some defrosting and no smoke coming out of it while cooking which is good. So far no problem with it. Next, I will cook a whole chicken.

I haven’t used it too much yet as without instructions I am trying to figure it out. It cleans up easily and I am especially pleased that it has a large glass bowl so you can see how well it’s cooking. I plan to cook a whole chicken in it soon.

This ONE product replaced SEVERAL kitchen gadgets. I’m so happy!
Bottom line: I absolutely LOVE this gadget!Before purchasing this, I’d been in the market for an air fryer for quite some time (upwards of 4 or 5 months). With so many out there, choosing one almost became a job! Luckily, I can now stop looking.This is so much more than an air fryer, which is a major plus since many similar products don’t have the features that this product has. I can cook whole chickens, fry fish and chips, and I can even steam my veggies. Having all of these options in one at this price is great. Iâve been able to stop using several other of my kitchen gadgets (and put them away) since this does everything that those do â all in one.The air fryer is packaged very well, which Iâm thankful for because Iâve received countless broken items due to poor packaging. It arrived in 2 boxes â an outer shipping box and the product box. The lid was placed on top of the glass cooking bowl, surrounded by Styrofoam. Several things were placed inside of the cooking bowl: food racks (3), tongs, a power cord and the manual.First, it is very high quality. The glass bowl is very heavy, sturdy and well made. The cooker is actually a LOT bigger than I imagined it would be, but I canât complain about that at all. I love the fact that I have so much room to cook pretty much whatever I would like, and even multiple items.Secondly, it is very easy to operate. The controls are located on top of the lid, and there arenât a ton of buttons and/or knobs (there are two â time & temperature) that would drive one mad, so you can set it rather quickly and easily. There are two lights on the lid â a red power light and a green light that illuminates when the oven is cooking. The lid has a handle on it with a little button that you press to shut it all the way down, which initiates cooking. Listed on the lid are 7 types of food, the temperature that they should be cooked at, and the amount of time needed to cook them. That little grid is actually very handy, and I definitely appreciate it being there.While using the air fryer, it doesnât get hot in my home, and that is a key advantage for me. I love baking my food, but I really despise how hot the regular oven makes my home. It does make a little noise while cooking, but it is very tolerable. The halogen lamp that comes on while the oven is cooking is a show for my kids â they absolutely love it. I turn the lights off and it lights up the whole kitchen. Thatâs kind of random, but it brings me to say that the lamp is powerful. The oven cooks evenly and quickly, but when cooking a whole chicken, I cooked it at a lower temperature for a longer amount of time simply because thatâs my preference. The chicken looked beautiful. The cleanup was a breeze! Since the chicken was cooked on one of the metal racks, that was really the only thing that took a little elbow grease, and that was simply ensuring that nothing was stuck in any of the little nooks and crannies. Washing the cooking bowl took very little effort, and the lid was easily clean with a damp cloth.My only issue with this product doesnât pertain to the product itself, but to the manual. It is awfully thin and lacks what one would think is imperative information about operating the machine. The metal âring thingâ (which I found out is an âextenderâ from my research) confused me like nothing Iâve seen in a while. In several pictures, it was located on the top of the fryer (the lid rested on it), and in several other pictures, the ring was located at the bottom of the glass cooking bowl (which is where it was when it came out of the box). I searched the manual to find out what it was and what it was used for, but there was absolutely nothing in the manual about it. I was honestly taken aback by this. This is what prompted me to begin my research. There are numerous spelling and grammar errors (which is really no big deal). Since I am rating the product, not the manual, I cannot take away any stars for this, nor does this issue take away from the versatility, convenience and all around awesomeness of the product. This issue has caused me to spend a bit of time online searching for videos or articles of it being utilized, but I donât mind it very much because Iâve learned a lot of new things about the fryer.I 100% recommend this product and I look forward to experimenting with it for a very long time to come.

Nice cooker
Itâs a decent cooker for a decent price. Glass bowl unlike many other with plastic ones that crack right away. Easy to use. Cooks food. What else can I say. Does take fat out of many meats so I guess I can say that too. Worth the money and you donât have to use your big stove. You can heat stuff up too. I guess I can say a lot more than i thought. Hahahaha good luck

Great glass air fryer
Great product since itâs glass and itâs easy to cook with. The only drawbacks is that the wire racks are rusting from only 5 uses. Also the device is fragile and not easy to clean. We are careful with components but I can see us breaking it soon.
