This mat is perfect size for underneath my office chair and to protect my hard wood floors . I wanted something that was thin yet durable and this fits the bill. It is a nice neutral color. I have also been able to throw it in the washing machine which is awesome . Due to the backing being rubber I let it hang dry . My dogs also like laying on it too while I work 🙂

I tried a fabric floor mat for my office chair (on low pile carpeting). It kept sliding over the carpeting. This fabric mat has a semi sticky backing that eliminates that problem. The fabric feels very durable, although only time will tell. (My plastic mats worked well, but cost twice as much, and wore a hole through the center after only a few months). My only criticism is that the chair cannot glide smoothly over the fabric surface as it did with plastic. But the advantages of durability and price outweigh that.Since I bought this, it is difficult to use as a floor mat for an office chair. However, it did not cost much, and is a nice rug, but not for chair floor mat.
