I bought this chair mat for my home office, and it is every bit as good as I hoped it would be. I was rolling around on a bare wood floor, and every time I gently pushed back from my desk, it felt like my chair was gong to shoot all the way across the room! I needed something that would add a little bit of friction (and protect my floors) without being too thick and going to the opposite extreme of making it too *difficult* to roll my chair around.This chair mat fit the bill. I’m not kidding when I say this is how I think all chair mats should be constructed. It’s got a nice, rug-like appearance, but it’s thin (feels similar to heavy canvas in thickness), with a non-slip back. Plus, the pretty but sophisticated pattern looks just like the picture.The best part is that it does add just that little bit of extra resistance to keep my chair from slinging me into the back wall of my office, while still letting me roll smoothly and easily around. The construction looks top-notch; I’ve had it for a couple of months now, rolling all over it every single day, and it still looks like new. I do not have a single bad thing to say – love everything about it!

This has honestly been one of my favorite decorative pieces that also serves a very useful purpose.Not only does it look great, and feel soft, but it does not move whatsoever once placed down!It does curl up at the edges, and when my chair rollers happen to go back and forth on a side, the mat remains firmly seated on the floor.For me, I will always pick up one of these mats whenever I need to protect my hardwood flooring from a chair!

Works great on hard floors or over plastic chair mat. I had an old plastic chair mat that was starting to crack so I placed carpet over that and it works great. Looks great and adds some color to the room.

The smaller size wouldn’t have sufficed. I think it’s great. It protects my hardwood floor and looks good. It gives a more finished look to my office. I vastly prefer it to the clear pvc floor protector I had previously. As far as I’m concerned, this is a great buy.
