Good for a picnic
Pretty print and waterproof. I think this is great for a picnic blanket but I wouldnât use it as a rug. It seems too slick to stay in place for an outdoor rug. The carry case and stakes make it great for taking to the park or using in the grass.

It should weather well
Being that it’s made of plastic straw, this rug should last a while out in the elements. The color and pattern and pretty. It came in a nice bag with a carry handle and stakes, making it perfect for an outdoor event but if you plan to sit on it, know that’s it’s plastic straw and not the softest to sit on but would probably work great underneath a blanket for extra protection from the ground. If you plan to use on cement then you’ll have to use some kind of tape to keep it in place when it’s windy.

Holds up in the Rain
Go figure, as soon as I placed the mat rug under my outdoor table, it rained. But that was a great test and it held up. No issues or concerns about this one.

Pretty Cheaply Made
This came folded up in a bag. The rug is pretty thin and feels pretty cheap plastic and looks pretty cheap. The rug had lots of fold creases that needed to be flattened out. I placed it outside and put chairs on top of it to try and flatten it out. It has been a few days and it still hasn’t completely flattened out. I wouldn’t purchase this again.
