Not the newest but just what I wanted.
I had this exact microwave for years and love it. There is no light when you open it, just when it is running. That was something I got used to. I realize they have ‘inverter’ ones now, but I really wanted the same model since my older folks and I were used to how it works. After searching and seeing a post with a photo, I ordered it. The microwave did come sooner than announced, can’t complain about that. Plug it in and works great so far. My older one started the clock count down but the motor and turn table didn’t move unless I tapped the counter or held the top of the door shut tight. So not sure if it was just unbalanced or wanting to retire. It’s simple to use and if it is anything like the old model, it should be reliable.

Excellent microwave oven
There’s a question in this box that asks; “What did you use this product for?” — Answer: 3 Guesses and the first two don’t count. We went from a microwave oven that did a lot of things differently than this Panasonic oven. The former one had express buttons 1 thru 6 that needed only one touch to get the oven to go for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 minutes automatically – and 30 second button that did the same. This Panasonic doesn’t have those features. The other oven would return your item in the oven to its original position regardless of how long you set it to cook. So, if you put your cup of coffee in it to be warmed, the handle was right there for you to pick it up when it was done – not on the other side where you can’t get to it. The Panasonic does not do this. The other oven had the ability to silence the beep. The Panasonic does not. However, the other oven was loud when it was cooking, and although it claimed to be an 1100 watt oven, it cooked like it was a 700 watt oven, and left cold spots in the food (never figured how that could happen). – It also had a problem of the buttons making a beep when you touch them, but did nothing, and the turntable would jerk sometimes and something sounded like it was grinding rocks as well. The Panasonic does none of these either. It is quiet when its cooking. It’s an 1100 watt oven, and you get every bit of those 1100 watts. It cooks very well and perfectly evenly. – Once you learn the different way to use the keypad, it becomes second-nature and no hassle at all. Although you can’t silence the beep – the Panasonic beep is gentle and only lasts a couple seconds — not ‘wake-the-dead’ loud and obnoxious that goes on and on like other ovens. And you cannot mistake what power level you set it at, as it requires you to push the power level button until you get to the power level you want. The other oven made it easy for you to “think” you set the power level correctly, and then as you food is charring, you realize the power level setting didn’t take. So, overall – the Panasonic oven — without all the “features” other ovens have – is a much better oven – is very easy to use and works like a charm in all functions of an oven. Worth the price and I recommend it.

Great Basic Microwave
We needed to replace our old microwave. This model was reasonably priced and had almost all the features we wanted. We wish it had a kitchen timer. Otherwise, it looks great and works well. Apparently, our old one’s heating coil had been fading for some time before it went out. This microwave heats in less time.

Works great months later
Nice microwave. Used daily and is still working months later.

Doesn’t last to long
This is my honest review. I loved it at first. It heated up everything evenly and quick I didn’t even have to have it to heat up for long. we hardly use it because we have other things we use like air fryer etc. We only use it when we want to heat something up quickly. So I have had it for 3 years and now it will cut on but it will not heat up the food. Now I have to buy a new one because the amount of money it cost to get it fix is expensive so I’m just better off getting a new one. My last microwave lasted longer than 3 years I had it for almost 7 years. So I would buy at your own risk. For only working for 3 years its not worth the money to be honest. I bought cheaper that lasted longer.

DANGER!!! FIRE HAZARD! Donât buy! After a year, it now doesnât stop microwaving after time ends!
This microwave is horrible! I rote this part a month ago but see my update below: Weâve had this microwave for about 15 months now. It heats things fine. Itâs not overly noisy as it runs or with itâs beeping. BUT the buttons!! OMG, they drive me insane. So thereâs only three things a microwave user has to do: insert food, push the buttons, close/open the door. I use the microwave all the time and step 2 is maddening! The buttons are made to appear touch sensitive but theyâre actually push buttons. Push buttons are fine, I like push buttons,, but I like push buttons where thereâs a BUTTON. Every single time I use this microwave, I have to push so hard on every button (every number, every reset, every start/stop) that my finger shakes and bends. I even tried putting puffy stickers on them to make sure we push directly on the button and it doesnât help. You have to be exactly in the middle of each button and push HARD to get a response. Iâm about ready to throw the thing in the creek and get a different one. Didnât they have their people test this with regular use first? Iâm guessing not.UPDATEâ- DANGER!!Now this microwave has added a new feature. Itâs been experimenting with it for about a month. When itâs done microwaving, it doesnât stop zapping! Itâs scary and dangerous. It doesnât sound right and at first we thought maybe there is a fan issue but after several times of not getting our coffee out immediately (after warming for the same amount of time we usually do) then coming to get a minute later and finding it boiling (or boiling over), we realized itâs still microwaving! Unplugging it then plugging it back in worked at first but not now. The only thing that makes it stop microwaving is leaving the door open. Itâs crazy! And SO DANGEROUS! It could start a fire doing that! And hopefully itâs not microwaving us too! Itâs extra loud now whenever we close the door. I tell the kids to stay away from it.
