Geek out over this cosmic desk mat
Ever since I started using a loud, mechanical keyboard I’ve understood the appeal of a desk mat. A good mat with a soft backing dampens some of the sound to a satisfying “thock”. I also like that a mat serves other purposes – it’s a mouse pad, it’s a coaster for your drinks, it protects the desk surface from physical damage, it’s a soft surface to rest your wrists when using the computer, and it just looks cool. The design on this desk mat is of a popular superhero team. The print quality is nice and crisp, and the fabric allows for optical mice to track smoothly. does the job; lacks refinement
It works fine as a desk pad. Aesthetically, it is a big upgrade from the free mousepad I have been using for the past 6 years or so. Unfortunately, the print for the rug does not go all the way to either edge. Also, it does not lay perfectly flat at the time of review, but that may change as it lays on my desk.
