It works very smooth. It doesn’t have the slow close feature but it doesn’t slam anyway so not a big deal.If you don’t need that feature it’s a good mechanism.

This product was difficult to install, as other reviews mentioned. It glided very smoothly at the beginning, but over time, it began failing. After three months it kept getting stuck, and then the ball bearings fell out. I suspect it could last longer if you treated in nicely; we always smushed trash farther down in the can, adding extra weight. That is why I gave it two stars rather than one

We got this so my kid doesn’t get in the trash bin. I don’t like that it moves back as you open it. It’s irritating, It wasn’t quite easy setting up but it didn’t last a month and it doesn’t roll out and back in, it flares out then gets stuck mid point and you have to shove it in, we will be buying another, hopefully more durable and reliable trash slide that meets our needs.

I was deciding between this and an option that cost much more. I decided that this was worth a shot as it was similar to a previous system I had installed (without attaching to the cabinet door). Let me say, this system is easy to install and the directions are very easy to follow. It is also built in such a way that you can adjust it to ensure the door lines up perfectly. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a pull out garbage bin system. It is very solid and rolls smoothly
