A gorgeous bed once assembled
We were in need of a bed overnight due to a recent move and a miscalculation of an older frame we had. Now you can already guess we didn’t want to break the bank any more than we already had, so we browsed and browsed and came upon this particular bed for a few reasons1) The texture of the headboard. It was a simple texture, but still gave the bed some personality.2) The color and fabric — we wanted something more neutral (I was coming out of an all-black-everything phase). The fabric is also a velvety feel, which is similar to the bed we tried to use previously. We didn’t really like the linen look of some other beds we found, and although I prefer wood and metal frames, those were out of the running out due to compromise.3) The price. $165 for a new bed seemed too good to be true.Out of the box, which is a fairly heavy box, was the tools in a plastic sectioned off package, and an instruction manual. First page lists all the tools you *should find in there, and once that was all double checked, the assembly went pretty quickly. The different pieces are labeled accordingly by number. Honestly, the only thing that took more time than anything was screwing some particular screws near the side-frame. I don’t think the assembly took more than 45 minutes.The wooden slats that come with it have a Velcro on top to stick to the side-frames once assembled. So yes they’re adjustable, but they really don’t move once on and the mattress on top. We have a 10″ mattress and it fit perfectly. Fitted with white sheets, it gave our room an airy feeling.I don’t know how long it will hold up, but everything seemed pretty sturdy. I recommend this bed completely if you’re looking for a bed on a budget. Just keep it away from kitties that like to take big stretches because this will scratch easily.

Excellent bed for high school and college students!
