excellent efficient way to organize books
I bought one of these for myself, then I bought one for a friend and two more for myself, and I just ordered one more for myself; they are an ideal solution for storing books in small spaces, like in the corner of a room, under a desk, etc. The unit is very easy to assemble (one step in the instructions is not explained well: don’t forget to screw in the middle platform after you fit it into the slots!), and I like the fancy doily that comes with it to cover the screws and slots on the top shelf when it’s all done. I had run out of wall space for traditional bookshelves, so I am very glad that I found this rotating alternative. The two photos show the first one I got for under my desk and a brand-new one that I just assembled today. I read the negative reviews and they do not match my experience: all the wood was nicely sanded, the packaging was extremely well done (with only a small amount of styrofoam and plastic for the garbage), and loaded up with books, the shelf spins easily and feels very sturdy. Highly recommended.

This actually works! Took about 30 min to assemble, handles many sizes of kids books.
This actually works great for most sizes of children’s books, and so far seems pretty sturdy. I was worried it might be a tipping hazard for my toddler before I bought it, but after 1 month of use I am not still concerned. (We put heavier books on the bottom and lightweight DVDs / stuffed animals on the top). If I was really paranoid I might have left off the top shelf, to make it 25% shorter, ( I think they sell a shorter one, too) but so far the 4-shelf version seems to handle daily usage in the nursery just fine. The wood shelves are secured with hex-head wood-screws , tools and gloves are included, and installation went fine except for one very minor crack while tightening one upper side-piece. Overall, tolerances and design seem pretty good for an affordable flat-packed spinning shelf. My kid likes turning it and picking out books to read at bedtime.This books handles ~90% of kids books just fine (Tall ones, short ones, big ones, small ones) However, there is one book shape that it is not good for: Some kids books (like “P is for Pterodactyl) have short heights and really long page-widths. ( approx ~8.5” H x11.25W) . For these books you probably should use a different shelf, because they will stick out too far and fall off easily unless rotated vertically. But again, this issue affects is less than 10% of our kid’s books. The good news that it handles even fairly large format books quite well, eg, “Daullieres’ Book of Greek Myths” fits fine once the shelf is filled.

Efficient book storage and display for limited space
This was fun to assemble. It is sturdy and good looking. Fine quality clear pine will need finishing at some point, but no hurry. The rotating stand is nice and smooth.Pro tip – assemble things backwards from the instructions, if you want to see both the spine and the cover of your books. Otherwise you can flip books upside down (to see both), or see the spine and the back (by following the instructions).Pro tip – start and finish the assembly of each piece with the hand tool provided (for alignment and safe tightening), but use a drill for most turning.

Simple, functional!
Pleasantly surprised! Saw someone using this to store tonies on top and thought it would be a great playroom addition. Really appreciate this is real wood and that they included sandpaper to sand down any rough edges. So helpful as Iâm using this for little kids books and toys. Stores a deceptively large amount of books. The wood is untreated so I highly recommend applying some mineral oil to protect it, especially if youâll have kids using it / spilling things / sneakily drawing on it. Love it so far. Feels very sturdy. Easy assembly, even with two little kids involved.

Holds lots of books in a small space.
Bought this for my twin 3 year old granddaughters. They love having books read before bedtime. This bookcase was perfect for a small space next to the rocker. We can spin the bookcase and pick a different book without getting up or dropping books on the floor. It was easy to put together and is very sturdy. Extremely pleased.

Gorgeous and Functional
This was fun to build with my kids and now stores all their books! It was raw wood, so I coated it with a wood conditioner on a soft cloth before I put the books on it, and itâs perfect for storing their collection. They love turning it around, and now they can select books more easily during reading time without making a mess of my room. Perfect addition to our home!

Really nice solid wood
This was very easy to put together. Only took about 10-15 minutes. Itâs very study. The swivel on the bottom is a little tight but nothing a little oil canât fix. It does come unfinished wood. Thatâs great because you can paint it if you wanted. I did swap some of the middle parts around so the books faced a different direction. So far i love it.

Way Cool!
I searched for weeks online and at 2nd hand stores for a suitable bookcase for a small space that I had upstairs. Finally I found this Rotating Bookshelf on Amazon and it looked like it might work, so I ordered it. Boy was I glad that I did! This rotating bookshelf is way cool! I ordered the 4-tier and it fit the available space perfectly. Whoever dreamed this up is a bloody genius! I am fairly handy with tools and it took me about 2 hours to assemble – insert tab A into slot B and tighten with screws. The only possible negative, which isn’t really, is that it is untreated pine and could use a coat of stain and some shellac. Other than that it’s perfect!
