This pad really cushions under a rug. I used a plastic one before and it made marks on my hardwood. People have commented how soft it feels. It came very quickly and was easy to cut to size.

Very nice
1/2 inch felt pad is really nice and adds the cushioned softness we were looking for. It was easy to trim down to size. I used a razor knife to complete the task. Pad is made of good quality felt and does not have random bits mixed in, like a different brand rug pad previously purchased. Very happy with the purchase!

If you’re reluctant to buy because of trimming the edges, read this review.I was a bit reluctant to purchase due to all of the complaints about having to trim the edges down. I needed something for my rug and this fit the bill so I decided I would somehow just figure it out. The pad came and yep, too big! I tried a carpenters knife as well as heavy duty scissors. I quickly realized that wasn’t happening so I began brainstorming. EUREKA….a rotary cutter! I got back on Amazon and ordered myself a 45mm rotary cutter with 5 extra blades for only $10. I stuck a plastic cutting board under the pad and sliced off the excess like a hot knife thru butter. Was I a little annoyed that I had to buy a new tool to resize the pad? Sure. But I think it was worth the money because I’m sure the gadget will come in handy somewhere down the road and it does a great job. I’m happy with how the pad feels under my new rug and believe it was a good purchase. I hope this helps someone!

What it says it is!
I got this a day early. That was nice however Im glad it wasnt something breakable in the box because the box was crushed on 1 size & had ha huge tear on the middle of the box. You could have fit a football through the hole. The delivery person did point it out, like it wasnt noticeable.As for the pad itself, fortunately it wasnt damaged. After removing it & laying it on the floor I was gad there was no smell to it & it easily laid out & relaxed after a very short time. It was every bit of the 8-10′ measurement, which was fine. I knew if it was I would need to cut off about 2″ down 2 side the fit just a bit smaller than my area rug. It was the 1/2′ thickness & I didnt want it raising the edges all around the rug where people or the pets would catch there feet on it.The toughest part was the cutting. I used a 6′ level to draw a marker line the distance to keep me from cutting it crooked. So glad I did that. I then cut from the edge in to that line about every foot. Doing this allowed me to cut a piece off & then move to the next section without having to try & handle the entire edge while cutting. That was the easy part. I did have a very sharp scissors but it was still not all that easy. There were some parts that for a few inches it would cut real clean & easy & the rest was a constant push to get the pad cut through. The fuzzy part would get pieces stuck in between the blades. I took a good hour to get the 2 sides cut. Once done I turned it furry side down so it wouldnt scratch the wood. Then rolled the area rug out over it. About 20 mins to get it equally even I got it positioned where I wanted it in the room. This was easy because it slide real easy. Now the concern was get the heavy furniture up over the edge of the carpet & on it without it moving. I had the great large slide discs under the feet of the furniture. Then the husband stood on the rug while I very slowly maneuvered the pieces on & slid them i to their location. It was a bit time consuming because 1/2 of the pieces of furniture were only going to have the front feet on the rug & the back on the wood. With a little patience & good communication we got it done in about about an hour. Now with all the pieces in place the rug is secure & not a concern.This pad has made such a difference in the comfort of walking across it. Im hoping as it is walk on that over time it will soften up just a little bit. My neighbor has a pad under her area rug & it is just supper soft walking on it. Granted her pad is many , many yrs old but it is still firm but with a softness to it, if that makes any sense. Even just sitting on the furniture with your bare feet on the rug you can feel the difference. I will give it some time but Im thinking there is a good chance I will get another to go under my dining room table.Even if it stays as it is & doesnt deteriorate it will be worth the price.

Nice pad!
It was the exact thickness and makes our in rug super squishy. We get compliments on the rug thickness all the time.

Good padding
This half inch padding is ideal for the my floor since it is ceramic tile (which is hard and cold). It’s going to add some cushion for my feet and warmth to the bed room. And it should hold up well. I purchased rug grippers since it does not have a non slip backing.

We looked long and hard for a pad that didnât have latex in it as most floors donât like it and I prefer not to have it as well. We have original hardwood floors in our 60 year old home which we just refinished and I didnât want the latex to discolour the floor. It definitely discolours Lino and assume it does the same to every type of floor as most info I found says not to put it on floors. This pad was the only one in both Canada and USA that didnât have latex so it was the only one to get. It has a film of some kind on one side, I suppose to keep everything together, so we put it up so our carpet sits on top of that. The soft pad side sits on our floor. We got 3/8 thick and itâs just right under our jute/cotton rug as itâs not a soft carpet so needed something soft underneath. Our rug is 6×9 and the rug pad is perfectly 1â less on all sides. We have a large coffee table on the rug so nothing slides around.

Got this rug pad to go under a Wayfair rug that we bought that was a little on the thin side. Lost a star just cause its actually kind of hard to cut, but I guess that’s to be expected since it is 1/2″ thick. But the feel is really luxurious! Makes the thin rug feel really thick and cushiony now! And the shipment came earlier than expected. They said it would arrive in 2-3 weeks, which makes sense since it’s coming from the States, but it arrived within 5 days of ordering! I would 100% order from them again! Thanks for a great product!
