Ok, I’ll start with the bad- how hard would it have been to include paper templates measuring the center points and holes facing the proper way- it would have cost you next to nothing and have been a huge help. Also, as many others have said, the anchors aren’t great. We ended up not having enough after systematically breaking many of them. No matter how much we tried and measured they went up uneven.Nice shelves, they look pretty, we’re easy to stain, sturdy, and they hold what we need.

love the color and pretty sturdy. I was looking for the perfect size to have multiple shelfs on the same wall without looking to much and these are perfect. Dont put to much weight on them or put ancors in the walls to hold more so they dont pull out of the wall but for a few light weight decor its perfect.

The value of these shelves is much better than other packages where you only get two shelves. The pattern looks weathered and aged, just like I wanted it to. The wood isn’t really solid, but it’s more sturdy than the hollow, MDF type shelves that I have seen elsewhere. The brackets are not sized in a way that you can fit both holes in a stud, but anchoring one hole in drywall and the other hole in a stud was plenty sturdy enough for what I wanted them for. I would never put anything really heavy on the shelves, but for my use, they are only decorative. Measure appropriately and make sure everything is level and installation is easy.

So the package did come slightly damaged, it did not contain screws, but it did contain the mollies. I’ve read so many reviews on here, people complaining about how the mollies were cheap and flimsy, i tend to believe it’s user error. we didn’t end up using them just for the simple fact that we did not want to put that big of a hole in our wall (we actually used small flimsy wall anchors).Other than that, they were fine and sturdy. The brackets are already stuck in the shelves themselves so yes, you do have to take them out, there again, they are fine and sturdy. insulation is not the funniest but not that difficult. I feel like most of the people on here who have an issue (other than the color or the stain problem) it’s because of user error.

I like that these shelves are a good size, made of actual wood, and are easy to install. They definately have the rustic farmhouse look to them. However, the stain comes off on your fingers and rubs off on the wall during install. Also, these are NOT weight bearing shelves, so if you plan on displaying anything other than small knick knacks, you will need to purchase shelf brackets.
