Beautiful color and fabric
I replaced white velvet draperies with these for the winter. The fabric is excellent, soft and a good mid-weight, not at all flimsy! I took them right of the box and hung them up. No wrinkles! I canât believe how perfect the color is! Theyâve made the room look much cozier. I canât speak to light blocking yet. I hung them up this afternoon but thatâs not one of the reasons I bought them. Great price too!!

I ordered these because I am very sensitive to sleeping at night when there is any ambient light, and one of my neighbors has been recently turning on their floodlight which shines directly into my bedroom 🙁 my old curtains were not thick enough to block the light, but these are great. Not only do they keep the room dark at night, even during the day, I’d say the navy colorway that I purchased blocks 80+ % of daylight. The photos on my review were taken at the same time of day with the curtains open vs. closed. The second photo makes it seem like there is more light than there actually was, since my phone went into night mode and did a long exposure. I’d say short of purchasing dedicated blackout curtains (the kind with a plasticky coating on one side), these do the job very well. They are also well made: they’re weighty, have a nice velvet feel, and the color is very rich. I will probably purchase more of these in different colors for other rooms in my home. I don’t usually write amazon reviews, but wanted to pass along this review because I know it can be hard to determine which products are quality vs. which are cheap. I would say the quality of these curtains stands up to what you’d get at West Elm/ similar stores.

Lovely amber glow
These are nice curtains, dense enough to darken the room a bit, soften the acoustics, and emit a fab glow. As others have noted the marigold color leans into orange, but it is still what I call amber and is really very pretty. I think they keep the room a more even temperature overall when they are closed. I plan to get more in other colors for other rooms. Worth the price!

I got the rich emerald green. These are absolutely gorgeous! So soft to the touch and they are good quality. Thick with a nice weight to them. I like that they are green on both sides so outside you can see the color as well. Some reviews said they didn’t have to iron but I needed to.DO NOT IRON THE VELVET SIDE!! Iron the back side on low steam setting. They add a classy cozy warmth to the room. I bought them for Christmas curtains but will leave them up through the winter. They do block drafts and light really well.I put 2 sets in my big window but probably could have done 3 sets. I did 1 panel in each regular size windows draped to one side for a little more of a dramatic effect. I ordered gold tassel tie backs but they weren’t long enough for multi panels in the big window so I will get some kind of gold wide ribbon or maybe red/green plaid wide ribbon I had from last Christmas but not putting that up till I go full Christmas in a few weeks. I highly recommend you order these curtains,you won’t be sorry. They look very expensive. I might order another set for my big window to make it more full and maybe add a second panel to each regular size windows. Don’t hesitate to buy these. I’ve done my homework on tons of velvet curtains and these were the best choice. No regrets for me. So happy with my purchase!ð

Beautiful and soft
I spent way too long searching for even decent curtains but I absolutely love these here â¡ the fabric is velvety soft and weighty, quality.. the color is beautiful, though much more orange than gold (marigold), so it worked out much better for my needs.. they are not in any way “blackout” curtains, as you can see in the pics (taken in the height of the day), but in use, they do a great job blocking out the brightness of the day as well as the heat.. my room is on the second floor and gets an awesome amount of natural light, but there is a major difference in temperature between the floors.. since using these curtains, that temperature gap has certainly decreased. Find your color and size because I definitely recommend these curtains!

Just what I was looking for
I’ve been looking for golden brown curtains that don’t look yellow when the sun is out and these are perfect. They’re very good quality in touch, length, and color. They keep the room moody and dark and they block out a lot of light which is great. One of the panels does have a bit of a sag at the top where it should be pleated. I fixed that with a bobby pin (not too crafty), but overall these are great price and quality. I got the 90 inches, and 4 panels since my window wall is super long.

Definitely Would Recommend
Well I’m pleasantly surprised at how much we’ll these curtains look. They are light weight, but still block out the sun. I accidentally slept in an extra 2 hours the first morning they were up. Shipping was quick! I’m very happy with them!If I could give them like a 4.5 stars I would for the soul reason that I wish the color was a bit richer for the color scheme of my room, but truly they do look like the picture and I would buy them in the future!

These are a nice soft velvety material with a decent room darkening effect. Doesnât look wierd when closed during the day like I found with some fabrics.Was unsure of the colour (moss) as it looked lighter in the package but once hung the dimension of the velvet looks great. The âfrillâ at the top adds a bit of fanciness.
