Beautiful
I have never purchased a Safavieh rug that I didn’t love. They are quality rugs. I purchased this rug in the 3 x 5 size to place beneath a coffee table. It is a very warm ivory color with a delicate pattern. I have had no shedding issues, however, if you do it is to be expected with a wool rug. It was a good purchase!

I’m Not Seeing Green!
I purchased the Safavieh Antiquity Collection AT14F Handmade Traditional Oriental Premium Wool Area Rug, 5′ x 8′ in Brown/Green. It’s a heavy wool rug, very dense, and the design looks just as pictured. My only complaint is that I’m not seeing green as much as light teal in the 6-inch border. The colors are very subtle, which is nice, and there is some barely detectable olive green in the floral design of the brown center. I wanted an unobtrusive, traditional rug to compliment the decor of my small living room, and this serves that purpose. However, if you want a true olive green as did I, don’t trust the photo here. The border is teal, a dull light teal. Side note: Who’s decorating in teal? There are more teal rugs, accent chairs, and other furnishings offered online than standard colors, though I don’t know anyone decorating in blue-green! For under $200, I can live with my new brown and teal area rug for now. If I decide it ‘sheds too much,’ as many reviewers complain, it won’t hurt me to give it away. But I’m going to get $185 of use from it first!UPDATE: Three weeks later and the rug is shedding balls of wool daily. I’ve had many wool rugs over the years but never had one shed so much. If this continues, I’ll definitely be giving it away. Too much work!

Great Rug!
Just ordered the Safavieh Antiquity Collection AT14A in the 9’6″ x13’6″ size in ivory. The rug arrived in 3 days which was a day early. It was well wrapped in paper and plastic. Please be advised that wool rugs of this size are extremely heavy. This one weighs a 103 pounds and was marked by UPS “Extemely Heavy. Two Man Carry” all over the package. Once it was in the house and unwrapped it was everything we had hoped for: thick, soft nap; colors very close to the online pictures; well constructed all around. It does shed like any other wool rug but nothing more than we’ve seen with other wool rugs. We’ll have to wait and see how it wears. The rug it’s replacing is 19 years old and is going to a new home for some more use. So we have high expectations!

Very nice rug. Large and well made
Very nice rug. Large and well made. But the colors are very different than in the picture. I ordered the one bordered in green. If you look at the rug I ordered you will see the green color as shown and described as being green. The rug I received has a teal border. It even had a gold cast in the picture which this rug doesn’t have either. The teal in the rug does not go with anything that I have. Very disappointed. Since the rug is beautiful, large and very plush I would have given it 5 stars had it been the color described. Would even send it back if it wasn’t so awkward to lift and arrange. ððð

Beautiful Addition!
This is a beautiful hall runner. Oh my goodness, its so plush, colorful, and looks and feels like quality. Very impressed with the workmanship and value, I can’t believe this runner was such a great price. I know others have said the colors are faint compared to the pictures, but our runner is gorgeous. It has plenty of personality and is tastefully created to not look cheap. I especially love that it’s thick enough to not lift while vacuuming. Bonus! Keep in mind that a quality, thick, rug has “heft.” Larger sizes will require assistance, but it’ll be “oh so worth it!” Super fast shipping, quality, and excellent price. We couldn’t be happier!

Exactly as pictured
I got a great price for a nice rug – dense wool and soft. My only problem is that it sheds soooooooo much. I can go over and over it with the vacuum and fill the large canister multiple times. Iâm hoping it eventually stops, so I can go back to my robot vacuums, which fill up immediately and choke on all the shedding.

I love the design, the lighter colouring and rich feel of this rug underfoot. It fits perfectly in my Living Room and looks great against the dark hardwood floor and with my traditional design style. Because the various sites showing this carpet (including Safavieh’s site) all show variations in the colour, I couldn’t be sure what it really looked like, so I decided to buy the small 2×3 rug first just to be sure before investing in the larger 8’3″ x 11 version. The colours did turn out to be the same as shown on the Amazon website for this rug size. So far I have not had an issue with the shedding reported in other reviews, but the initial vacuum did pick up quite a bit of lint.

Oh my my my
This is a 100% wool rug at an incredible price. The color of the ivory has a great design and is bright, but not overbearing. It is very thick and substantial.Liked it so much, I order the 7.6 x 9.6 the same day the smaller one arrived. This not a flimsy floor covering and it will last decade. It is made just like my other wool rugs that were triple the price. Some reviews complained of shedding. Wool rugs do shed.
