It is a great solid lock, I like its appearance, and how nice it looks, while being functional!
It functions beautifully.Installation was easy, and pretty straight forward. The lock functionality is great. The speed of which the finger print scanner reading, and releasing of the lock is quick, and efficient. It looks great!

It’s okay.
I’ve installed it twice and the lock does not lock the whole way. The fingerprint mech is also not always accurate. I usually put my finger about 3 times before it opens every single time. The key is also a small key.

Would recommend
I highly encourage purchasing this particular brand. Have swapped out 3 door locks with this brand. Good quality, easy to install, and easy to use.

Does not work will horbnbill G2 gateway
I bought this lock because it was the same brand as my other door lock.. Hornbill. Which I also have a G2 gateway to access through wifi instead of just bluetooth. This lock is NOT COMPATIBLE with the other lock, or the gateway. This lock uses the smart life app, whereas the rest of my hornbill devices are on the TT app.I contacted the company regarding the change in app, and they just told me to return the lock. The lock did function as expected when installed, however i replaced it with the Eufy which is much better quality and a better app.

Could be a nice lock if it was reliable and worked when you need it to work
I wanted to replace our old keypad deadbolt with this deadbolt not just so I could control it with my phone the main feature for me was being able to use voice commands and my fingerprint with the keypad as a backup. When these things work I thoroughly enjoy this lock, the problem is they fail more often than not.First, fingerprints. I would estimate I’ve completely reset the lock and redone mine and my wife’s fingerprints no less than 10 times since getting this lock. I’ve cleaned the sensor. I’ve changed the batteries. I’ve tried doing a single fingerprint by its self and I’ve and done the opposite and registered the same finger multiple different times at different angles. Rarely the fingerprint works the first try. I would say very rarely it works the first 3 tries. Extremely often I get home from work carrying 2 heavy bags and go to use my fingerprint and I am standing there getting rejected over and over again. I would say at least 90% of the time the fingerprint sensor doesn’t work the first try. My wife actually just started using the key for it instead of the fingerprint sensor or keypad out of frustration. The voice/smart life connection. I am no novice to Smart Life/Tuya. I have at least 50 different Tuya devices, including numerous zigbee, wifi, and a few bluetooth. Before I bought this lock I already had a cheap wifi zigbee/BT hub that seemed to work when I needed it. With this lock I would have to manually force it to connect and wait. I assumed it was the cheap Tuya hub causing a problem. I bought a more reputable brand hub that is wired with ethernet. Still the same problem. This lock is the only zigbee/BT device I’ve ever had connection problems with and it’s the closest device to the hub out of all of my devices that are connected to it.Also the keypad. Why require a 6 digit minimum code instead of 4? If someone has the time and privacy to crack a 4 digit code by hand I assume that a deadbolt wont stop them from entering my house by breaking a window or something. On top of that, the keypad is insanely time sensitive, if you hesitate for even a second between numbers it treats the next number you hit as a different code and rejects it. I’ve used keypad locks for 10+ years and I’ve never had one as unreliable as this one. I even basically tried changing the code to the 1-2-3-4-1-2 buttons and it still failed sometimes. It goes back to the idea that with passwords if a website requires a specific set of symbols etc and requires you to change your password frequently you’ll end up writing the password down on paper or using less secure passwords so that you can remember it, essentially creating a much less secure scenario. If a lock requires 6+ numbers and gives you zero hesitation time you end up creating an unsecure code. Again, this wouldn’t even really bother me because I planned to never need to use the keypad since I planned to use my fingerprint or voice.Back to the connection – I stopped even trying to unlock this with Smart Life or with an Echo device. One day I spent 20+ minutes trying to get it to connect on my phone and it kept failing. I reset my phone, my Tuya hub, my router. Finally I walk over and push a random button on the lock and it connects instantly. Why would I have to wake a lock up in order to use an app to control it? If I’m close enough to the lock to push a button then it’s just an inconvenience to keep using the phone to unlock it instead of a key when I can physically touch the lock. The only possible scenario this would be useful is if you didn’t have a key, the fingerprint sensor wasn’t working, and the keypad wasn’t working. I again replaced the batteries with brand new high quality alkaline batteries, didn’t help.I attached a picture of a familiar screen – in Smart Life I try to connect and get “Timed out. Try again.” I also attached a picture of the Alexa app showing “There is a problem with deadbolt” and that’s taken not 5 minutes after I used the lock. When it does actually connect it takes 30+ seconds of trying to connect. I am using a OnePlus 12 phone so it’s not like I’m using a 5+ year old phone on Android 6 with old antennas and bluetooth versions.I wanted to be able to say “Unlock the door” or push a button widget on my phone from my car as I was pulling into my house and walk up to an unlocked door that automatically locks within 5 minutes. I have never got that to work on the first try a single time.I’ve waited to write this review because I assumed I must be doing something wrong but if I’m doing something wrong then maybe 1 method wouldn’t work right, but for all 3 of the main things to not work right is frustrating to say the least. I don’t understand the decision to use bluetooth instead of wifi or zigbee since bluetooth is by far the worst of the three. I also don’t understand the decision to require a 6 digit code to be entered in 3 seconds or whatever the timer is.I wanted to love this lock, out of the box the only con I saw was that it didn’t have NFC cards as an unlock option, but I’ve never had so many issues with one smart device and now NFC cards are the least of my worries. I’ll be replacing it on my door and probably putting it in storage or giving it to someone that doesn’t mind just using it as just a “dumb” lock and using the key.
Itâs not worth it –
Does not work!
Easy to install and it works when it wants to. You will still need the key!
