While I wish this looked more realistic, it is a cozy throw. It’s super soft and has the faux fur on both sides. It’s also a little weighty – which makes it feel more expensive than it is. At the same time, it’s not bulky – it doesn’t take up much space – I think it came folded in something about the size of a freezer bag? It’s not like a spongey fleece thing. Almost immediately may chihuahuas attached themselves to it and now they know what “do you want your MINKY?” means, and get excited to see it. I actually bought another a few days later because I really do like the heft of it. Somehow I got it for around $22 after a $20 coupon that was offered at check out, and it’s definitely exceeded my expectations for the price point, but also is just *generally* a nice throw. I haven’t washed it but I suspect it’ll hold up nicely – there’s no shedding or “bald” spots in it. Also, I don’t have to brush it – like some other faux fur I have. I don’t believe it will “matte up” when washed. Just doesn’t look like it. *Feels* like an old mink blanket my great-grandma used to have – now that I think about it. Yeah, very pleased with this purchase.
