Basically good
The back side where the frame joins is not put together well, therefore the build quality is not great. The hinges seem weak and there is nothing to hold the bench lid open, it must rest against a wall. It should have some sort of stop/arm and also it could fall down on a hand. Itâs overpriced for sure. It overall looks nice and serves the purpose, but not totally impressed

Sturdy and stylish
This is a great entryway bench. The seat is soft and comfortable, and the bench structure and integrity is sturdy and well made. The big issue I have is the bench seat was super stuck in place and was wedged shut. I was finally able to pry the seat open, with two adults pulling as hard as we could. We got it to open and discovered that one of the hinges on the inside of the seat was drilled crooked, causing the seat to be slightly off and too tight against one side of the bench. This is a problem, but does not take away from the overall aesthetic and feel of the bench.

This solid wood shoe bench is crafted of high-quality solid wood and offers a hidden storage area under the upholstered top for small items. Great for entryway and useful for shoe storage. While a bit overpriced, I like the look and design. However, the bracket to hold up the lid was missing from this package so one star off for that.
