Very happy with this purchase! We have a dog who is a total wimp on hardwood, so hardwood stairs are a nightmare. Sadly, he still whines going up and down the stairs, but thanks to these he has not slipped once, and they really stick well. The seem to peel up fine so far (we’re renting to I check them now and again to ensure there’s no damage); haven’t cleaned them yet, doubt I will as I have a feeling the stickiness will lessen if it gets wet, so I’ll opt to vacuum them instead. But they look nice and do the trick! Def recommend 🙂

Easy and nice for our basement steps
We bought these for our plain, wooden basement stairs. The reviews were good and so was the price. These were very easy to install, there is a little piece of plastic that sticks out so you can easily pull the backing off to expose the sticky back. I measured each step and put a little dot where I wanted to start the runner, then I peeled off about 1/4 of the backing and started putting it down (that way I didn’t expose the entire backing while installing). I pushed down and then continued removing the remainder of the backing. The corners didn’t stick as well on a few but after a few days, the corners and the middle flattened completely and it’s been a couple weeks and they look great and continue to remain stuck the floor. I did wipe down each step as instructed and let them dry before installing. These are great for basements, nothing fancy but definitely better than wood and they look pretty good for the price.

Works well My dog’s and I no longer slip!
Easy to apply to clean stairs. Said doesn’t work well with old stairs in the description for some reason but my stairs are from the 70’s and theyfit perfect,stay in place perfect,and look great!Very comfortable to walk onVery high quality and feels like they will last a long time!

Easy to install, good traction ; pet-hair magnets
Bought these for our basement stairs as a carpet runner was going to be 10x more expensive. To keep it short, they have good traction, they hold to the step, they were very easy to install, and they look pretty good. Our only real complaint is that they are RIDICULOUS pet hair magnets if you’ve got animals in your home… you can hardly tell ours are black within a day or two of us cleaning them.Overall, still definitely recommend if you’re trying not to spend a fortune on a carpet runner.

Purchase this item because we just moved into a new house and my German Shepherd slides on the stuff so sheâs trying to come upstairs. Hopefully these will help her not end up hurting herself. They do not stick to the ground. They have a nonslip material on the back of them. Most likely I will be purchasing double-sided tape or a different adhesive to get them to stay on the floor. They came in the box bent in half so they are lifted in the middle. Wish they wouldâve sent them in a flat box.

Don’t stay on their own
Update: the company was kind enough to refund these for me (and didn’t ask that I alter the review) after seeing the issues I had with them. If nothing else you can buy these knowing the company may back you up if you have any problems.Because of the way these are folded in the box, they do not stay down on their own. We had to buy adhesive tape to put under them when it was clear the middle lifting up was going to be a clear trip hazard.
