I wanted something different. Look around. Found these. Ripped up old carpet. Put wood down painted. Faced steps with wood stained it. Put carpet in steps. It was easy to install absolutely. I love the look. Size was perfect. Material is thick enough and looks amazing. Different. And it is functional. Wish I had more steeps in the house. I love, love, love this!!

Surprisingly good
I am pleasantly surprised at how well these do stay in place. I took one star off because they do occasionally shift a little, but for the most part they stay in place. I am amazed at the quality of them as well. Thick and sturdy not thin and flimsy! I bought these because my dog slipped down the stairs and was then scared to go up and down them. She goes up and down the stairs now with ease.

The mats someone to the floor. I would not say they are slip resistance. They are easy to install but I would recommend tape. Color as described. Ended up returning for safety reasons.

The first step down on the treads tends to move a little. I put a small piece of sticky Velcro at the top and that holds it in place. Other than that, they are nicely made and very substantial. Very happy with product.
