Itâs perfect for the price. Does the job, looks great. Doesnât look cheap. I use the lift top daily, been couple of weeks, no sign of wear and tear. Recommend to everyone for the price. But, there may be better quality products out there with double or triple the price. Cozy is something to consider if you want to spend more money.

At first, I was not sure if I wanted to spend this much without seeing the product, however, I trusted the reviews and I am not disappointed! The product is perfect for small places, it is a bit difficult to assemble but it looks good and sturdy.

We wanted a lift-top coffee table for a long time, and then finally decided to get one. We chose this one and we were not disappointed!Putting it together was NOT easy, I will say that. It took 2 of us about 2 hours to build, and some steps were pretty uncomfortable. To screw the lift system on, we were lying on the floor with the screwdriver, and it’s an awkward angle to reach some of the screws. So be warned that you do have to be pretty limber to build this thing.Another note is that the lift system is NOT soft-closing. If you let go of it it will slam down, and there is no cushion. To minimize noise when closing it, we stuck felt sliders (for chair feet) to the underside corners of the top.The colour is really nice, and now that it’s been built we love it!

Worth the purchase! Great table! Watch YouTube for assembly!
The reviews are right, the instructions are horrible. I honestly read the reviews and didnât even use the instructions, I went right out to YouTube and searched for Tangkula Loft Top Table and the video was right there. It took me all in all 2 hours to put it together, and I did 95% by myself, and mind you, I just learned how to use a power tool 4 days ago! With no building experience of any kind, I was able to do it on my own except for the top. I could not lift the top and screw it in, so my friend helped me with that part. All in all, itâs VERY STURDY, and has lots of storage space that I need! Iâm happy with the purchase. Trust me, if I can do it, you can too! I just paused the YouTube video after each step, and it was a breeze (kind of). Definitely a workout, but 100% worth it!

It came before the estimated delivery day, which was perfect as it arrived in time for the holidays. It was very easy to assemble, but I would consider this a 2 person job. And the table itself is sturdy, but you need to use both hands to lift the top off. You need to put one hand on each end of the table when you lift the top off, you canât do it with one hand or do it with both hands in the middle. If you do the table top becomes lopsided and only one side will lift up, while the other side struggles.

Works great in a small room; quick and easy to assemble (except for the top).
I bought this one because it features a strut-supported lift mechanism instead of a spring closer. I found the instructions easy to follow, even though they were devoid of words. But it took a while for me to figure out that the pins that came with neoprene expansion elements at one end fit in the larger of the two sizes of holes, not the smaller ones (which are for wood dowels). Just push them into the hole by hand and screw them down in. The only thing I had trouble with was the last step, installing the top onto the raised struts. You are working under the top in the dark, trying to insert tiny screws upside down. Might work best to lay down under the open top, with some kind of self supporting light. You’ll need both hands free. I’m 80, so that wasn’t ideal. I ended up using a self-standing light and a mirror to get the first two screws into the predrilled holes under the top. After that I inserted the remainder of the small screws by hand, working blind and screwing them in just far enough so they would stay in place. I then finished them off by holding a screwdriver underneath the top and working it counter clockwise upside down. By feel only. Once done I found the top lifts easily, but you need to grab it by its sides, or in the middle. You can’t lift the top just by grabbing one end. It twists. It has room to stack magazines in the open areas under the top, and there is room for them to go sideways in each storage area. Books fit fine, too. I found that the top, when in the open position, stays there. So you can work on it with a laptop computer. Or eat off it if you like. It is very versatile. And compact enough to fit in a small study like mine. I loaded the storage area under the top with my camera gear, three camera drones in cases, and other stuff I like to keep out of sight. Only reason I didn’t give it five stars was the hassle with installing the top. It just occurred to me you might try attaching the top on the struts first, then try to screw the struts to the inside of the storage space second. You will need help with that. Someone would have to hold the top and strut mechanisms in place while you put in the screws.

Love it overall very happy
Being the adult that I am this is what I asked my mom to get me for Christmas. It was supposed to arrive Christmas Eve but got here on the 4th of Jan. No biggie I knew it prob wouldnât make it. Took me forever to put together only because I wasnât in the mood but itâs simple and fast an hour maybe two. The only part I didnât like was the extra screws for the hinges that go on the sides not all were pre drilled so I had to do small pilot holes to make my life easier the other thing was attaching the top was a pain. What made it easier was putting the table on its side longways up top open so I could attach the screws. Top is a bit wobbly when you pull the top up if your arenât grabbing from the center or using two hands. Anyways, It looks amazing. The wood is good and sturdy and looks super clean. The bottom squares I thought were gonna be bigger they measure 18â x 12âx 8âh. I thought it was going to be taller.

Sturdy & Lovely!
I put this together by myself with an exception of the final part – the movable top piece. Itâs easy to assemble as long as you pay attention (not like you have to focus real hard) but it literally has numbers and an order to it! I recommend having an extra set of hands or two for the final piece which is the top movable piece because itâs not that easy to drill the screws in when it wants to slide and dip down!Itâs sturdy as hell once you get it all together though! Itâs cute, classy, and has plenty of storage space! The moving part is quite the best part though since it takes away our need for dinner trays!The inside of the moving piece can hold many books, or a couple of blankets, or it can hold any extras, or just paperwork and mail. Itâs not THAT big, but itâs still a hidden storage space. ;)The three slots below are also nifty! Can be used for storage or small decorations. Overall, I highly recommend if youâre wanting a sturdy, decently priced, and slick looking coffee table!
