I contacted the customer service as I had problems installing the lock. They provided me with different possible solutions and I finally got over the problems. They also followed up on the issue to make sure the problems were fixed. So far, the lock has been working great and I am satisfied with it.

Switched from a Yale Assurelock 2 to this, worth the upgrade. Lock quality is far better. Don’t know enough about the battery life but I was only getting 30-40 days out of the Yale. This has 8 batteries so hoping to get at least double the time or better, time will tell. Only a minor issue getting connected to HomeKit on the installation which was resolved quickly by support. Overall, I really like the lock, quite substantial, and well made. Fingerprint reader works great.

Good lock, but unreliable Remote capabilities (Wi-Fi disconnects)
I bought two of these locks for my home, installed both, one for the front of the house and one for the back. Easy to install, worked well initially, but started running into trouble not too long after with the remote capabilities due to constant disconnecting of the devices from Wi-Fi despite having good signal and within range of my U6 (Ubiquiti) Pro AP. Both were initially connected to a SSID which supports 5/2.4GHz, and given their device specifications state this does not work with 5GHz, I created a dedicated 2.4GHz SSID specifically for these devices. Even after doing so, the disconnects have still persisted. I noticed a firmware update (01.42.0024) was available and updated both devices (also a headache as this requires Wi-Fi and the constant disconnects made this a challenge as well) but still the issues have persisted. I have a number of other devices on these APs with no issues and these are Enterprise grade Wi-Fi systems so this should not be an issue.Despite these challenges, the locks themselves work well, the biometric and multi-user setup is nice and these continue to work once setup even without Wi-Fi otherwise I would swear this off. It is hard for me to provide a more positive score than a 3 currently, but hopefully they are able to fix the Wi-Fi issues which would significantly increase the products evaluation.I have seen a number of complaints on their site from other customers going past over a year so maybe I should not be optimistic for a resolution to these issues, but if you are not in desperate need of the remote unlock feature, the other mechanisms for unlock work well.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~**UPDATED REVIEW**I am writing an updated review based on my interaction with the Support team at ULTRALOQ. Ultimately the issue of the locks dropping connectivity stemmed from an ISP issue which would some times drop active valid connections which, unfortunately in ULTRALOQ’s case, would result in the product likely believing something was wrong and disconnecting/reconnecting. As to why this is the case, the support team hopefully is looking into this as such an issue should not make a device drop from a local AP, but non-the-less, these connectivity issues have ceased since I have worked to resolve this with my ISP. Other than this, the only issue I still encounter is trouble updating firmware when they become available. I hope the team will work to ensure that process is easier and more reliable, but that issue is no where near as critical as the prior mentioned above. Since then, both locks have been working well.

Amazing Smart Lock and Door Handle Combo!
I purchased three ULTRALOQ Bolt Fingerprint Smart Locks, along with the matching door handles, during Amazon Prime Day for my garage doors, and I couldnât be happier. The locks and handles are solidly made and incredibly easy to install, even for someone who isnât a DIY expert. The price point for the features you getâbuilt-in WiFi, keyless entry, and voice control via Siri, Alexa, and Googleâis unbeatable.The fingerprint reader works flawlessly, and I really appreciate the automatic alerts sent to my phone when the doors are opened, closed, or locked. The ability to set the locks to automatically lock when the doors are closed, whether immediately or up to 30 minutes later, is a great convenience and gives peace of mind.Though I havenât set up Apple Home yet, I expect it might take a little effort, but Iâm confident Siri integration will work smoothly once itâs done. I do wish these locks were made in the USA instead of PRC, but the quality is still impressive.One improvement Iâd love to see is with their app: it would be great if you could set up one lock and easily transfer the settings (lock codes, fingerprints, etc.) to the others. Overall, though, Iâm extremely pleased with both the locks and handles and highly recommend them!

A Great Lock – Improvement Needed
This lock was very easy to install and it works as described with the exception of one inconsistancy that I have experienced. The lock has an Auto Unlock feature that does not always work. According the their video and instructions, the lock is supposed to Auto Unlock after you return home and approach the door. Most of the time it does not unlock for using that feature. I typically have to use my finger print to unlock the door. Otherwise, this lock is ten times better that the Schlague Lock I installed on my front door a couple of years ago. I will probably replace the Schlgue Lock with an ULTRALOQ. However, the inconsistency in the Auto Unlock really drives crazy! That feature was why I purchased that lock in the first place.

Broken out of the box
Installed easily. Connected to the App easily. Control via the app takes 3-10s, mostly more than 5s to lock / unlock and that’s with an access point within 5ft. Better to use a key. It seems it disconnects from the wifi when inactive, then connects, and allows interaction. I tried via HomeKit and it was even worse and >50% of the time it was unresponsive. The keypad and fingerprint scanner are DOA – the keypad lights up but pushing buttons does nothing and the fingerprint will not learn. Fortunately the mechanical key worked. Also, once you uninstall the app fails to delete my account when asked. This thing is buggy. Better to stick with a known brand such as Schlage. I have one of their locks on another door and it’s flawless.

Works, looks good, matching door handle is the bomb
Easy to fit, easy to connect, works flawlessly, canât think of anything that would improve this.I upgraded from their basic fingerprint lock, this is awesome. the open door sensor works great though having the sensor magnet attached to the door jamb is ugly so I might end up removing itâ¦, would be better if they could design it to be hidden.The matching door handle is great, it allows you to open the door with your knee if you have hands full.

Based on the current technological capabilities, the ULTRALOQ Bolt Fingerprint Smart Lock comes out tops in terms of the features:- Small door footprint- Unlocking via PIN code, thumb print and manual keyBut that’s ONLY IF it arrives working and functional. Naturally I was super excited to use it when I bought my new condo unit. Unfortunately, I received a lemon and it did not work since day 1. Then 3 months of frustration followed despite the helpful customer service trying their best to help me troubleshoot and resolve the issue. I was due to receive my 2nd replacement part from LA.By then, I was almost at the breaking point of giving up when the Canada Post strike happened so their kind representative did the miraculous thing of sending me a new box. This 2nd attempt changed my view and opened my eyes to how wonderful this product can be. It still works beautifully and I do not regret the wait. Good things truly come to those who wait.My only advice to the firm is to improve on the process of quality assurance such that every new box arrives perfectly, without the clients having to agonize when parts do not work.
