This is why I purchased it and have been using it for 3 weeks now. The one gripe I do have, it that it is a tad to deep to comfortably rest on my the cushions of my sofa, however it does the job. I had a double mastectomy due to a breast cancer diagnosis. I needed a table like this since I had to be in a recliner for 2 weeks after surgery. I purchased the smaller size & it was perfect for eating my soup, journaling, & anything else I needed it for! It is very sturdy (not sure why other reviews say it is not) and the foldable legs are great when not in use. I highly recommend!!!

This tray arrived shrink wrapped but still COVERED in some sort of dust/film underneath. It smelled awful and I had to wipe it down with wet paper towels many times to get it clean and ease the smell a bit. I’ve since cleaned it many more times and am more confident in using it as a tray for food now.While wiping it down I did get a few small splinters in my hand as the edges are very rough. I definitely wouldn’t recommend for younger children because of that.As you can tell from the first photo, though, it looks very nice sitting out, and I love the small ledge around it. My teenage step daughter recently had ACL surgery and is using the tray to build legos. It’s a perfect size, height, etc so nothing falls off and gets lost in the sofa!

It is well made. I eat in front of the TV so it sits on the coffee table fine! There are two sizes. I bought the larger one. The smaller one only fits a 9″ plate or so and maybe a glass.
