I love having an app to control my door lock. I can access my home in multiple ways. I can unlock the door using the app, key, key fob and finger print. It automatically locks. I can assign temporary passcodes. Alexa enable is always a plus. The only con is that I can control the lock via app while on WiFi. I really like this system for keyless entry to my front door. Works great with a gateway
I like the lock and it sets up easily enough. But there is very little in the way of documentation. I mainly switched to this from another digital lock because it said “APP Control & Ekeys: Smart locks can realize APP control, set passwords, manage access rights and view access logs.” I realize some functions need a gateway and when I got it, it works great. I wasn’t sure that the gateway would work since it has to be located on a floor below the door/lock. But it is working well.One thing to note, to set a new passcode you must be at the door. Once you generate it, you get an 8 digit code and you have to use it once before you can change it to something you want. So if you think you might need to set a passcode when you are away, generate an extra one and use it once.
