Holds water, amazingly no leaks!
This device holds water and hasn’t leaked yet. Sturdy, but not heavy. Handles do get warm but not dangerously so. Heat is decently spread but I think it heats slower than my old cast iron when using super high power to boil water. Very easy to clean!

Great for big soups where you need some extra headroom for greens to cook down. Really like the design with a slight taper. Works great on induction and the price is really good if you can wait for a sale. Lid is glass with a steam vent, which some like and some don’t.

Love Viking
I love my Viking pieces. They require less maintenance than my other cookware and the quality is great. Although they arenât the cheapest options out there, the quality is excellent for the price so I think they are a great value and they will last a very long time. This stock pot is large and sturdy. I was all my pots/pans by hand and this is a bit cumbersome in the sink because of its size. I wanted a 6 qt stockpot but couldnât find a proper one that was priced right. So I decided on this and Iâm very happy with it. It takes quite a long time to bring up to boil which is really the only thing I wish was different but thatâs because of the thickness and quality of the material so Iâm not complaining.

i have 1 of these already it is perfect looks good on my new stove heats up well i as a truck mechanic look for quality i do not buy cheap stuff sold in box stores and tv selling shows my wife and i share the kitchen more than going out to eat .bottom line quality pots and pans make great food plus we spend good times in our kitchen my advise spend a little more now and if you take care of it it will last thank you viking

Excellent product
I purchased this Viking stock pot to replace a non stick stock pot of roughly similar size. When I realized how pricey it was to replace a non stick, high quality stock pot every few years (they do deteriorate over time), I started looking for a stainless steel replacement. This Viking stockpot is excellent–sturdy, fairly easy to clean and it should last me the rest of my life with reasonable care. If your strength and dexterity is extremely limited, it might be too heavy for you.
