Heavy duty
These are very heavyduty pans. The lids are solid so you can’t see through them while cooking unfortunately, and have sharp edges. I do love that the pans have a measuring input inside them.

Viking products are excellent
Like other Viking products that I have used, this cookware set is excellent. They are heavy-duty, easy to clean, and have good heat distribution as long as you put them on burners that are as big as the cookware item you are using. My only caution is to use hot-pads to lift the lids after using them on the stove because the lid handles get very hot — too hot to touch.

holds heat well
I think we are all trying to move away from nonstick cancer. These are really nice 3 ply. I have 5 ply as well with copper core and they are heavier which makes sautÃ©ed harder. These arenât light but they are good solid stainless cookware. The 10â did have some rubbing from the packaging on the side (see pictures). I was able to cook on lower heat. I was able to maintain a rolling boil on almost low heat – the â3â setting on my gas stove (see photo for actual gas)

Should have bought along time ago
Just follow the instructions and they work exactly as described by the manufacturer. If you are tired of replacing every other year, these are your new forever pots and pans.

High quality cooking tools but not for the weak.
Viking is a well known, respected name in the cooking world and these definitely are up to their reputation and standards.But they are NOT for anyone who has problems lifting or working with heavy items. They are quite heavy compared to most lesser brands, because they need to be to accomplish their purpose.Cooking is fast and even. Heat distribution is consistent. And the handles stay cool.Clean up is relatively easy. A sponge with a little Barkeepers Friend makes them look like new in no time.And they look beautiful, like well crafted stainless steel should. Just don’t be surprised if you see some marks on the bottom if you move them around on your burners.As all quality things are, they aren’t cheap. But if you can afford them, and you take care of them, you’ll have quality cookware for many years.I hope this helps. Thanks for reading and liking.
