Though I was buying a quality item from amazon, but the item came with a dint , approx 5 mil. Very disappointed, will try to get an exchange from them, will update and see what happens. Low quality control, don’t know how this got pass quality control, or is amazon selling seconds?

We got this cause our old roasting tin was too small! And we roasted a chicken on it for Christmas and it turned out beautiful! It is quite heavy and really well made! Bonus are the carving fork and knife that came with it

Great roasting pan ! A little bit pricey but it worked very well. Well made and clean up fairly easily. It took some time to clean as it has a mirror finish. I would recommend this roasting pan !

Roasting Pan Redux
It seemed as though everyone’s Grandma/Mom had one of those old enameled steel roasting pans. Roast Beef, Chicken, Thanksgiving Turkey, Holiday Breads, A nice Pork Roast… We can pause and remember the aromas drifting from those kitchens.What are some important qualities of a decent roasting pan? Sturdy, heats evenly, keeping the meat above the juices and fats generated by the roasting process.This pan is heavy duty. It heats evenly and holds the heat. The rack keeps the meat above the swirling sea of juices, drippings, and fats…whilst allowing for the moisture (or your spoon/ladle) to baste the meat during the roasting process. Also, the raised rack allows for even cooking on all sides.Another plus? The cover doubles as a second pan when inverted. I’m contemplating a nice pork roast as I type this review. Bon AppÃ©tit!

So Versatile!
For many years I had a cheap enameled roaster. What a difference! This is substantial, easier to clean, and lets face it, pretty. I absolutely love the lifting rack that hooks securely on the pan. I have a gas stove top for now, but eventually will get an induction, and it’s great to know that this will work on either. The lid that doubles as a shallow pan is fantastic. Viking is pricey, but oh so worth it.

The best!
I spent a lot of time researching before I selected this roasting pot. The 3-ply is the trick. I roasted a 4 rib Beef roast in it and it came out wonderful. Its quality is literally heirloom level. I have a Viking saucepan and it is OK, but this pot is truly the best you can get. I love that you can use the lid or cook IN the lid on the stovetop if you wish. Like 2 pans in one! It is beautiful too.

Worth the money
It is a sturdy roasting pan.its easy to clean plenty of room for meat and veggies. I love this roasting pan.

Better than advertised
I bought my Viking 8.5 quart roaster 5 years ago. I’ve made beef roast, pork roast, lamb shanks, Indian butter chicken (video), lobster Thermador and much much more. Every time I use this pot it stands up to the challenge. One of my favorites is good ole New Orleans style red beans and rice. I start them on the cook top and finish in oven.It fries extremely well too. I set up my thermometer on one of its handles and point the probe into the grease. Keeps the heat uniform throughout the cook.Also the top can not only be used as a serving dish, but it also can be used to cook with. So you get to pots in one with this set.Cleanup is a breeze because of the high Luster stainless steel. Food just glides off in the soapy water.All in all this roaster is easily my most prized go to utensil in the kitchen. Maybe you shouldn’t get it. This way I will continue to be the champion home cook!

Great roaster!
This pan made the easiest turkey and cleanup I’ve ever had–no basting, no messy foil package to achieve the steam pressure cook, moist turkey, and easy cleanup. The turkey was delicious. A 14-pound turkey fit well. I cooked it 2 hours and 15 minutes at 400 degrees, and it was totally done (maybe I could have stopped sooner, but it was still plenty moist) except for the crisping and browning, so I removed the pot lid and cooked another 20 minutes or so. The turkey was perfect. I forgot to put the rack in, but it didn’t really matter. I cook the turkey in the shallow pan and cover with the deep pan to maximize browning at the end. Cleanup is a breeze after a little soaking. The roaster is beautiful too.
