Pleasant Pure Percale Sheets with Appealing Piping
When I was younger and carefree, I used to sew my own clothes; so I can sometimes be a persnickity critic of sewn goods. Needing a spare set of sheets, I ordered the Puralens Beige Floral Percale Sheets, King Size hoping for the best. Well, much to my surprise, the sheets exceeded my expectations.The first clue that the sheets would be of good quality was the packaging. The sheets arrived in an attractive zippered, reusable storage case that was clear on the top and quilted on the bottom.When I took the sheets out of the case for washing, I could tell they were 100% cotton percale from the clean pure scent of cotton and the crisp feel of the percale weave. Breathable percale sheets are especially good for hot, humid weather (which we have during the summer and sometimes even in the spring and fall), but I enjoy percale sheets all year round. They are not stretchy, silky or satiny; if you like that kind, you might prefer a cotton blend, polyester or silk-type sheet.I put the sheets in the washer and dryer on the delicate setting before I placed them on our king-size bed. They washed and dried well, although I probably left them in the dryer a bit too long. The sheets did not appear to shrink but were wrinkled as is characteristic of percale. Wrinkling is not a defect. The sheets can be hung outside to dry or ironed to avoid or remove wrinkles. The delicate pattern on the sheets also became softer and more natural looking after washing, which is normal for percale.Then came the ultimate test: I placed the sheets on our deep king-sized mattress. The sheets and pillow cases fit perfectly! And I could see that they had been designed and sewn with an eye to detail that is missing in many modern sheets.Due to a soft elastic band that went all the way around the edge of sheet, the bottom sheet went on with amazing ease–unlike my higher-priced sheets that I must struggle with to force the tight elastic band under our heavy mattress.And the thickness of the sheets was pleasantly surprising for the price It was not too thick or thin but just right. If too thick, percale sheets can feel like cardboard; if too thin, the sheets do not wear well over time.But what amazed me was the piping around the edges of the sheets and pocket pillow cases. Piping is a lovely, decorative detail that also reinforces the seams. It is time-consuming and therefore expensive to sew. Envelope-closure (pocket) pillow cases are also an upgrade and will keep your pillows more secure than open-end cases.Best of all, the suble floral pattern blended well with our bright boho bedspread. And the soft yet crisp sheets felt comfortably restful. They still need a few more washes, though, until they are as soft as my old organic percale sheets.I recommend the Puralens Beige Floral Percale Sheets. They are finely detailed, 300-thread-count, pure cotton percale sheets that are a good value for the money. If you are looking for percale with homemade-type touches, look no further.

Lovely printed 100% cotton sheet set
Lovely printed cotton sheets. These sheets feel very soft and smooth. The subtle printed pattern of flowers and foliage is calming and beautiful. There is nothing like a fresh new set of sheets to make slipping into bed and drifting off to sleep a welcome reward at the end of the day.These sheets and pillowcases are true to size and will fit a very thick mattress. I measured the corner seam of the fitted sheet, and it is about 18 inches (see pic), so that will easily fit a 16″ thick mattress as the description states. I was happily surprised to find the fitted sheet has the same decorative piping outlining the top of the mattress that you will find on the edges of the pillowcases. I also appreciate the fold-over cuff at the top of the flat sheet – it is over 6 inches (see pic), which is very generous. These added features indicate good quality and attention to detail.The pillowcases with the King-sized set are generously sized at 36″ x 20″ and have the tuck-in or envelope style ends so they leave you with a nice finished look when your bed is made. I took the photos before washing, and you can see the wrinkles from how they were packaged. As 100% cotton sheets, they will wrinkle easily, but can be ironed if you are bothered by that. I would consider these to be a warm weather sheet set as they feel light-weight and the cotton has a cooling effect. I think these are well made and a good value. I would buy them again.

Fine value in a Cotton Percale Sheet Set
My initial skepticism that the Puralens French Country Queen Sheet Set would deliver good quality at such a reasonable price quickly disappeared. Minimal shrinkage occurred after an initial cold water wash followed by low temperature tumble drying. I was impressed that few wrinkles appeared after the sheets were removed from the dryer.The 400 thread count had been a concern but that turned out to be unfounded. The 100% cotton percale weave strikes a perfect balance between softness and crisp feel. The breathable fabric has been very comfortable for typically hot sleepers.The deep pocket fitted sheet generously fit our 15” mattress with an attractive piping keeping the sheet in place through the night.The flat sheet drapes adequately for a nice finished appearance.The vintage effect of the french country design provides a nice change of pace from the solid color sheets we often use.The cozy cottage feel is very pleasurable.The crispness of the design, precise sewing and generous sizing all reflect good quality and likely long term durability.This sheet set is a very good value, priced below others of similar quality.

Beautiful, comfortable sheets and pillow cases!
I’m obsessed! The first thing I noticed is how ridiculously soft they are. They feel super smooth and luxe, like I’m sleeping in a cloud. So comfy and cozy, they’ve definitely made my bed feel like a hotel suite. I paired them with a cooling blanket I got recently and I haven’t had an overheated night of sleep since.The pattern is also gorgeous. It has this vintage porcelain like pattern that’s really pretty and classy. It’s not too flashy but still adds a nice touch to my room. It’s just the right mix of classic and modern, especially since I’m going for more of a vintage, cottage-core kind of feeling in my house. .The quality is really good too. They’re thick but still breathable. And after washing them, they still feel great, which is always a plus. They feel like sheets that I’d easily pay twice the amount for, so the current price as of this review feels kind of like a steal.
