Does the job!
There is a wonderful rubberized bottom layer under this Pet Barrier Rug Pad (pictured); that is the anti-slip part that drew me to it. Our rug that’s on the tiles inside our doggie door was constantly slipping around under pet and human use. The top part of this pad is the padding (pictured) which adds a little bit of cushion and is nice.I guess this mat is designed to block any pet urine soaking through to a wood floor which I can see that it would work well for that purpose, if your rug and pad are an exact fit. It’s not too thick to stop my door from opening (pictured). There is no odor to this product. And once unrolled from shipping, it stayed flat underneath my rug and is unnoticeable. I’m very pleased with this since I haven’t had to straighten out my rug all day since putting it down! It’s the little things, yay!

Great rug pad
This rug pad does everything it needs to do- it’s grippy and doesn’t slide- it adds cushion- it’s waterproof (though I haven’t tested this)It’s also made in the USA from recycled materials. Pretty great!

No smell!
I bought this based on a few thingsâ¦ the claim that it wonât smell like chemical death and that itâs made in America. They donât lie.. it has zero smell. The pad arrived folded in half and when I unrolled it, it had a lot of ripples in it, but they arenât unmanageable, just hard to smooth out.

Great quality and design
Great quality very happy with this product. The underside has a rubber grip and the top side is a rough texture so that the rug wonât slip around on the pad. The thickness is perfect. This should help with my cold floors, but Iâm putting this under a 3 x 5 rug. Make a note that the pad is just slightly less than 3 x 5 so it doesnât show on the side.

Protects the floor, but holds spills and odors
This rug pad is waterproof on the bottom, but absorbant on the top. Since it is not washable, it holds in liquids and odors. Not the best for pets and spills, it is too expensive to have to replace every time something is spilled on it. The only way to really clean it is to take it outside, hose it down and air dry it. It would be better if it was non-porous on the top.

Moderate Grip Stops Sliding
This is an excellent way to keep an area rug from sliding around on a smooth floor. It has worked well for my entryway area rug and helps keep missed accidents from seeping through the rug and ruining my hardwood floor. I have two puppies that occasionally have an accident and this has worked very well. The material is a decent thickness and is very sturdy. The grip is moderate. it is just a couple inches shy all the way around for my 6 x 9 carpet, so measuring for your needs is important. I have not needed to cut it since it doesnât cover the square area of the rug. It adds minimal cushioning. This is a good product for the value.
