Yes it is real wood!
So easy to put together. Box was damaged but product is so well packed it didnt affect the wood. Yep its real wood! The side railings were bowed but wood is forgiving when it is screwed together. Super supportive. Our old mattress feels new again. We love it and have slept better too!!The middle supports didnt have pre drilled holes in the foot board to attach to the footboard. We just chose to screw the side rails to the support boards and felt 40 screws along the sides was more than enough that the 2 on the foot board were okay to just skip.Note that we did have to push very hard to work against the bow but wood is wood and screws do the job!If you have any skill whatsoever you can use your best judgements and ability to put the bed together and you too will see the quality of the product is phenomenal.

Nicer than expected
Easy to assemble looks nice and feels sturdy. Much more supportive than the last platform bed we had break due to weak metal supports. Was planning on using this until we went to a furniture store and got something nicer but after having it a few weeks we donât doubt we will be looking for anything else.
