I bought this set to replace my custom built set that I sadly lost in a house fire 2 weeks ago. It was my prized possession. This set included almost everything I had, plus a few I didn’t.My set did not include the 8″ offset deli knife as advertised, but came with a 7″ Nakiri instead. Which was actually a bonus to me since my Nakiri was destroyed and I really didn’t want the deli knife anyways. It came TRIPLE boxed and flawless.

Very impressed with the quality and sharpness of these knives. The set is large and well worth the price if you take care of the knives. The block is large but it looks very nice on my kitchen counter.

So close to meeting my high expectations
I bought this set knowing that it should be overkill for my cooking needs and expecting that this will be the last set of knives I should need to buy.* The bulk of the knives appear perfect with razor sharp edges and are what I was expecting.* Three knives arrived with some reddish material on the blade with small solid pieces, I do not know if this is left over from manufacturing but did clean up easily.* The cleaver is not as sharp as the rest of the knives which may be on purpose but the distinct burr along the entire length of the right side of the blade indicates that the sharpening process was not finished before this knife was packed and shipped.* This item is heavy and should have been double boxed. The box had significant damage and there are several scuffs on the block itself.* This item was sold as new, so I was expecting it to arrive in perfect condition and am left less than fully satisfied.I will keep the set, because the scuffs on the block are on or near the bottom and do not stand out, I can sharpen the cleaver myself and do not see any other quality control issues.
