Very smart
I l8ke this lock which performs my task i often neglect…locking the door when I exit. Also I am locked out so I send for code and wally I open the door always or use my finger.. this part I have not always mastered and revert back to asking for code in settings.i feel secure using this lock and keeping dogs secure

Wyze Auto-Lock Bolt
This was easy to install and set up. I love the Wyze products. During the installation, I struggled, but it was due to not fully reading the instructions. It is an easy 30-minute setup. It can take over an hour if a person doesn’t read the instructions thoroughly. :)Thank you Wyze for the affordable security items you provide!

Solid 3 stars, unfortunately.
So – part of this review is “I didn’t properly read the details” and part of it is “shame on Wyze”. Fair warning.My complaint: this isn’t a wifi-enabled device. I had the Wyze Bolt, and wanted a 2nd one – but, it was $100 more than I recall paying, and it didn’t come in black, so I jumped on this.Queue my surprise when I left the house and couldn’t remotely lock my door… because this thing is bluetooth-only. What the heck? Turns out, it was a design decision, for people that don’t want/trust IoT devices. Which is fair, but… ugh. That one’s on me, for not fully reading – I assumed “app compatibility” meant “usable via the app FROM ANYWHERE”, not just “when nearby”.The lock itself: solid, pretty, overall nice. I don’t use the fingerprint because it’s annoying to set up, but the buttons are responsive and all of it works well. However:There’s no converting this to a better option. I’d love to be able to throw a (wifi enabled) deadbolt on the inside, but I can’t – because the inside is where all the brains are. I also can’t add a key-lock as a backup option, again, because this uses the entire lock-face. So – I’m stuck here, either I remove the keypad (and pay another $150+ for the wifi/deadbolt version) or I hope this thing never runs out of batteries when I’m away because there’s no backup to get in. I don’t love that.Seriously – if this had an addon to allow either wifi remote use OR the addition of a keyhole, it’d be perfect.

Arrived in a timely manner. The key pad has a raised design where it mates to the outside door and fits np in a 2-1/8 ” hole. Buy my existing hole was smaller and therefore the keypad wouldn’t sit flush due to the raised portion not being able to fit within the hole. I had to enlarge my existing hole through the metal wood core door. This procedure is not for the average homeowner to perform!Once completed the lock installed easily and looks very nice also performing very well to date. Bluetooth connects well, lock is very responsive to fingerprints. One feature I didn’t know this had was the One Time Code the app can generate remotely to be given to anyone for a one time use! I also like the auto lock feature which can be set to various # of mins.I would like the option to add a gateway or hub to make the lock accessible remotely by my choice without having to fork out for a doorbell cam !!

Best luck with the easiest installation
This lock is super easy to install, but itâs still very secure. You just have to make sure that you check your batteries. Every few months outside of that the fingerprint works great and the code works great and it looks very stylish over the knob.

Remote lock and unlock is a god-send
Never had something that was this easy to install and has great functionality. Might need to reprogram the fingerprints but it’s not uncommon with biometrics. I use the app to lock the door when I forget and the auto lock function is also a great measure. Combined with the wyze doorbell I can let guests in without going to the door, and I’m notified anytime there’s a package. Best way to simplify your front door interactions and save time and energy

Such a nice product, I now own 3.
I use a variety of Wyze cams, and this is my third Wyze Deadlock. Works terrific. I have a Yale as well, but I prefer the Wyze. Less expensive and more features.

Overall nice but
The biggest complaint I have is it was super hard to plug the cable in. Took me about 30-45 minutes. I have large hands so this was probably a factor. lol. Nice buy and easy to assemble. Nice instructions.
