I am really happy at the performance of this neat little tool. I make jewelry with resin and was struggling to drill or grind resin, this tool does a great job of handling both.

2020: Really nice, no wobble
UPDATE: I added a “drill press stand for hand drills” and an “LED magnifying light with clamp” to make a precision drill micro drill press. You can check my other reviews (and new photos) for more info. I still love this thing to tiny jobs.This is actually really nice!I have a drill press and a couple dremel tools. I got this as an in-between, fun tool.This drill has zero wobble (or swing as the seller calls it). It’s so smooth you can’t tell the chuck is spinning visually.It’s very quiet. Way quieter than a dremel. Get this one with the silver chuck and the speed adjustment knob. You click the knob from off to on/slowest speed and can adjust speed upward by turning the knob. The other versions have a brass chuck and no knob so it just kicks in full speed.This is basically like a radio control car type motor with a chuck put on the end instead of a pinion gear. The outside case feels really nice too. It looks like something a cat burglar/safe cracker would use in a movie.I have a hand micro drill which is like an xacto blade handle that holds tiny drill bits. It works great 99% of tbe time but in some materials i find I’m pushing harder, where if this is rotating fast (because it’s electric) the drilling will go easy.I fully expected this thing to not even work, but it’s really nice. It looks and feels like some $800 German surgical device. And again, no wobble. There is no kick/jolt when you turn it on because you start at the lowest speed. This will not jump out of your hands.Ive seen users put two wood blocks or angle iron pieces next to each other as guides and have this in between and slide left/right as a sort if sideways drill press. A large benchtop drill press is only like $70 so if you need precision (remember this is just hand held) or if your drill hard materials then maybe get an actual drill press for double or triple the price.For tiny bits at weird angles I’d rather use this than a dremel. I have a dremel with flex cable and foot pedal (for way more money) and this might get used more. The dremel has a way higher top speed and lots more torque for tougher materials though.Cheers,M1k3 Fr0m D3tr01t

I canât believe how awesome it is for the money. In my opinion it was a little bit more than that.
This product is such a great product so versatile I can travel with it. It is powerful. It gets a job done. The only thing I would require is that they would make a case for it a traveling case other than that it is a very good tool. Thank you.

Great product- dont judge by looks
This little micro drill is well worth the $30!! I needed an electric tool that could drill tiny (and by tiny i mean (.003-.008) holes in resin. I had a manual pin vise- but drilling manually was taking too long, hurting my hands& not giving me a perfect hole (even with a mini vice grip thing). I didn’t even know such a tool like this existed until I search for micro mini electric drill on Amazon the drill itself looks like someone made it from various different stuff but this drill is not to be judged by the way it looks, but by the way it works. The drillbits that it comes with are not the greatest quality however they do get the job done just perfectly fine at least for me the power cord that plugs into the drill has a speed dial on it where you can turn up the speed of the drill if you want when I received my drill and power cord the speed dial was not working the drill would run on one speed only I contacted the manufacture and they sent me a brand new power cord with a speed dial that works no questions asked. I highly recommend this drill for all micro mini uses. Im very satisfied with my purchase and no, i was not given this product for free for a review -i paid for this item and this review was purely based on performance for my needs.

Great for Resin Jewelry!
Praises:1. Can drill very precise tiny holes, which is just what I need.2. Easy to use – put the bit in, turn it on, modify the speed if you need to, and you’re golden!3. Not awkward to handle (despite not having a comfort grip or anything, it is small enough that you can hold it comfortably, which was surprising).4. It’s quiet even at a higher speed!5. It’s cheap!Complaints:1. It is not built very sturdily. Because of how it is wired, the bottom will sometimes spin and fall out. Tightening the screws does not help, because it is the whole bottom that falls out of the cylinder. You have to make sure the bottom is screwed on and that the internal wires do not get too twisted.2. It does not go up to full speed. It gets steadily faster as you turn the dial up, but stops at about halfway and will not go any faster.3. It does not come with any instructions, and it is not easy to get in touch with the makers about any issues.In summary, it is a fantastic drill for the price! It does everything I need it to, I use it very often, and it hasn’t broken on me yet. I use it to make tiny holes in resin pieces for making jewelry, and it’s never done me wrong.

Perfect Drill for Fine Scale Modeling……
A Dremel… yes I have one, two actually and with variable speed. But they are to heavy for tight spots, spin to fast (even at the slowest speed) and take up a lot of room on the bench. I don’t need power with polystyrene, I need control, and I need a slow spin rate so I don’t melt the plastic. Finally… a tool that I am excited about and is perfect for this task. I often augment stock parts that come with kits, and replace them with resign based redesigns that are more true to the original item. This requires some careful drilling and grinding (without melting) . This puppy has no vibration, very quiet, fits in your hand very comfortably, and can use all my micro drill bits, and all my Dremel attachments (grinder, buffer, etc). I got the variable speed transformer that comes with this model, and it sets and stays at the speed you select. Very pleased with this product!!!

This is an excellent little drill motor for a custom setup or hobby/craft tool build. The modular construction and redundancy of voltage control makes for a safer build. Itâs not huge on torque but for what it is, Iâd say it does well for the money.Screws are spaced 25mm centered. Chuck works best if tightened with all three key slots.Itâs ridiculously quiet too.

This is a great rig for my resin projects. Bonus, the handle is a magnet, it helps from losing fine pieces especially. Be careful, around the knob where it is turning can get hot though. I Love it
