This bed is SOLID — will last many lifetimes
This bed is solid wood (no veneers, no MDF, no plywood), and it’s built like a tank. It’s absolutely solid, with no wiggles, squeaks, or movement whatsoever. That also means it’s heavy, which isn’t a problem unless you plan on moving it a lot. Once you get it put together and tightened down, it’s very difficult to disassemble it (to get it through a door, for instance), so build it in the room you want it in, and don’t plan on taking it apart or moving houses with it easily.I am handy, and I put the entire thing together by myself, and it took me about an hour. Getting the slats on (with the velco lined up correctly) was a pain, but the rest of the build wasn’t too bad. It’s heavy (as already stated), and it really would have been easier to put it together with two people.If you’re looking for a very reasonably priced bed that is solid wood and that will last a lifetime, this is for you. Once you get it put together, and tighten everything down well, it’s going to be rock solid and survive most anything. The style is as pictured: simple, with a nod towards mid-century. It’s styling is very basic and classic — it doesn’t draw attention to itself, which also will add to the longevity, since it could be used in most decor.

easy to assemble, sturdy and looks great
I’ve been using this bed for about 7 months. It’s very sturdy and haven’t had to tighten anything in that time. The mattress doesn’t slip because those grippy strips on the slats work pretty well. My only complaint is that the finish on the headboard could be a little thicker. But I’m still giving it 5 stars because of the overall quality for this price point.

Assembly was easy to follow. I did have to take apart and redo headboard because I put side rails on upside down. This bed is good for a guest room. It doesnât feel like it will hold up long term as a primary bed. Not sturdy for that or kids jumping on. Good for short term or in frequent use.

I’ve bought many many furniture that needed to be assembled from various online and offline stores. From my experience, IKEA furniture has been the easiest and most well aligned. I mean some of those furnitures are just so terrible and hard to assemble. So when I bought this Zinus bed from Amazon, I expected it to be like other furniture not from IKEA. Holes not aligning, rough edges, etc.To my surprise, this bed was so much better than any furniture I’ve had to assemble.First, I expected some pieces to be broken since delivery guys often throw packages right at my door. But it was so nicely packaged, nothing was broken or missing. Each Styrofoam that was protecting the frame pieces were all packaged in a plastic bag so no Styrofoam was flying everywhere. I was impressed there.Second, I prepared wood glue to glue some stressed areas so it would be more sturdy. But I didn’t need any glue. All the parts were already reinforced that no glue was needed at all. It was a little confusing to understand the instructions at first, since the numbers and letters didn’t seem to match the instruction, but once I figured out how it was laid out, it was so much easier than the ikea instructions.Third, all screws and bolts and such were all laid out on a thick paper, marked and sealed so it was easy finding which screw was needed where. It also had plenty of extras in case some rolled in the vent or something.Lastly, the tool that came with was nice and not dinky that I actually used that tool to assemble this bed!It took about 30 minutes for me and my husband to assemble this bed and it’s nice and sturdy.You can tell a lot of thought and consideration went into this bed for the consumers to make this bed as easy to assemble as possible and I really appreciate that. If all other zinus furniture is well-made like this bed, I would confidently buy any furniture made by zinus.100% recommend.

Great product for the value
I was honestly quite surprised by the quality of this bedframe, after reading some of the reviews people were a bit harsh. Personally speaking, I find the quality to be surprisingly good for the price. The wood is solid and has a nice color and grain, ours had no damage, and the assembly really was not as difficult as some people made it sound. Between the instructions in the box and the YouTube video, it was really pretty straightforward. The bed is solid and for under $300 it looks fantastic. In my opinion, itâs hard to expect much more. I would highly recommend if youâre looking for a simple but high-quality bedframe that wonât break the bank.

A Disaster From the Moment it Arrived
I first ordered this bed frame in May 2024; it is now September. When the product originally arrived, it came with two left legs for the headboard so it could not be put together. I contacted customer support and they were able to send me replacement legs for the headboard. Life happens and I didn’t try to put the frame together again until now. I am out of the return timeframe, but that is on me and I accept that.The problem is the replacement legs sent to me by the seller were also not the correct legs. I finally had a left and right leg for the headboard, but the legs were a slightly different color and the holes cut in the legs did not match up to the the rest of the pieces. Once again, the bed frame could not be put together. I’ve decided to give up on contacting customer support for new legs since I already had a bad experience with them sending replacement pieces that do not work together with the rest of the frame pieces.I really wish this worked out because it is pretty and feels like nice quality. Buyer beware due to incorrect parts coming in the box and incorrect parts being sent as replacements from the seller.

We just got this bed so I canât speak to its longevity, but I put it together in under 30m, with help to hold the pieces up only. Iâve built a ton of furniture, and my share of IKEA, and this was frankly the easiest altogether. And it really seems sturdy, too!
