Great frame and has survived 4 moves
Love this frame. Itâs very easy to put together and take a part, which Iâve done 4 times. So easy that I have it memorized for what screws go where lol. Noise is not a problem. I once had an issue with the headboard clanging, but tightening the screws fixed the issue! The bottom space is great too for storage, including suitcases. Overall great frame, especially for constant apartment moving as college and grad student. Oh also I love the slats! They come with a Velcro system and are very sturdy. And the slats have an anti slip thing on them that prevents the mattress from sliding around, which is also awesome. Holds at least 450lb between me, my partner and 2 large dogs.

For a cheap bedframe, better than expected!
Every bed-frame I considered on Amazon had some or more user horror stories on assembly and other issues. I am happy to report that this bed-frame came together with few issues although having had all the parts numbered other than just a few would have made it easier. The YouTube instructions were helpful. For an incredibly cheap price the bed frame looks great, sits flat on the floor, and appears sturdy, strong, and serviceable. Iâve got to work on a better way to attach the bed skirt hiding the legs (and stuff under the bed) and get a bedspread. But even with a bedspread itâs going to be easy to make-up, far superior to the over-priced piece of junk from an overpriced prestige furniture store that I had borrowed from a family member and is now gone!

Clear Instructions & Well Made Bed Frame
Recently we were in the market for a new mattress……between Black Friday and Cyber Monday we were seeing some great deals, so we popped on a new King. But we also needed a frame, and I was not about to pay the $400 and up for a King frame from the Mattress company. As I scrolled Amazon I found this Zinus Mia Modern Studio 14 Inch Platform 1500H Metal Bed Frame With Headboard, King size. I liked the clean look it had, but I really liked that price tag! Under $200. So I popped on that as well.Today my mattress is arriving so that means it is time to assemble the frame.Right away I noticed how well the items were packaged. Besides the foam pads between the metal pieces, each Item was individually wrapped to prevent any chipping or damage done in transport. It also included A hello note, clearly marked screws, simple instructions and a little wrench. (Image 1-3)*TIP 1) Lay the whole frame out and sort as shown. This made for a quick assembly..and leave those stickers on…it will make for fast reassembly if need to move it! When opening the instruction I found a very simple layout of the frame along with clear markings of what parts where needed to assemble what. There are stickers located on each item, and the screws in the packaging are also clearly marked. (Image 4-6) You will also notice that the screw holes (Image 7) have a nice solid thread for the screws to catch to attach each component. Very impressed with some of the small details and the clean welds.*TIP 2) The handy dandy wrench is great for the awkward spots, to make it function perfect just hold the end nob and you turn it, if it clicks just push the tiny lever under the head, it will then be set to tighten. (Image 8)Once you get to the side rails, make sure you have the Velcro side up! This is what the slats will attach to once the frame is complete. Ours had no sticker indicators, But using the velcro and photo in the instructions, it was easy to tell which side goes where.TIP 3) When attaching the middle rail, follow the instructions and attach the leg first, this will make it easier to attach tot the frame. (Image 9)Once you have the frame fully assembled you can now attach the wood slats. These come in two sections and then are attached by a long secure strip of Velcro and staples, like a big accordion. Once you have them fully opened you can see which side needs to be upright. There will also be two slats that have a film to be removed to help prevent the mattress from sliding. Nice thinking! (Image 10-11)TIP 4) MAKE SURE to start the slats where the velcro starts on the frame. If you follow this you will then have the correct spacing between the two sections. I started at the very bottom of the frame, which gave me a crazy space, I then figured out the velcro is your guide on where to start. My total build time, with taking pictures and a few random text messages to the wife with the progress…Less than an hour and a half!My overall rating is 5 stars. My Amazon freight drivers where great with delivery and on time! The frame came well packagedAll the components are clearly marked and wrapped with extra care made it a very simple build. No Tools are needed! The frame is extremely well built for the price tag.Once assembled the frame feels extremely secure and looks great. They even send extra parts (Image 12)I think this was a great buy, and will work with most mattresses, like our new Nectar.

Lovely frame, nearly perfect
Here is my honest review-the good and the not quite good. It looks great and the components are solid and should support my mattress nicely. That is the most important thing, right?! I like the under bed space as well. That is a positive as well. My only subtractions from absolute perfection are: 1) I think there should be a metal horizontal support beam in the middle with 2 legs on each side of the bed. The bed has a middle leg only but I think two side legs would be better support. I have a zinus full sized frame on another bed and it has the middle support with legs and that just adds to the stability. Since this is a queen bed, I think it needs the extra support bar and legs. Also, the above referenced full sized zinus frame had padding on the legs. That is a must for frames with metal legs that seriously hurt toes. I bought padding separately but if this frame came with padding and the extra legs/support bar it would be absolutely perfection. As it is, Iâm happy with it for my guest room that has a very nice, expensive mattress. Oh and last note – directions are just ok. Assembly requires two people and slow assembly. We made two or three mistakes because the directions leave a bit to be desired and we were working fast so put the headboard on backwards etc. If you take your time and can visualize the outcome itâs fine.

Iâm very happy with the quality of this affordable bed frame. I took someoneâs recommendation in the reviews and bought some Loctite for the build (I would highly recommend doing this as well – the frame feels very sturdy and does not squeak at all). The instructions were clear and it was quick and easy for 1 person to build. I love the design, the height, that itâs lightweight, and that it has ample storage space underneath. Very much worth it – I feel like this is a steal for the quality!

I read all the reviews prior to purchasing this bedframe. As such, I was a bit hesitant to order it because of the negative reviews (I was concerned about wasting my money). After thinking about it for a few weeks I decided to risk it. Glad I did.I put it together myself in about 20 minutes. All the pieces came in great shape, and the instructions were easy to follow. I then cut down my 4 inch twin memory foam mattress to a 31 inch width to fit, and laid down on it. Wow, was it ever comfortable and strong! I am a mature big beautiful woman, a back sleeper who weighs around 230 pounds–a person who moves around only a little bit when sleeping. I tested it out, moving around on my side too several times. It never creaked, sagged, or moved below me. That without removing the sticky tape to keep the mattress from moving. I’m hoping to post some photos here in the future.Other things I like about it are, compared to other similar bed frames, that the slats are close together giving better support, the velcro keeps them in place doing their their job, it’ll be easy to disassemble if I need to for storage, and that it’s light weight.I can’t speak to the other negative reviews, including the one who’s product arrived damaged or broke soon after they got it (which I would be upset about too), only to my own experience so far–which is good. The only reason why I gave it 4/5 stars is because I feel it should have two additional legs, one on each side in the middle, for extra longer-term support. I may cut some extra pieces of wood to do that myself. Now, I can’t give it a review for using it as a regular bed, to sleep on it every night (which I won’t be doing). However, for my camping needs in sleeping on it for a few days to a week or so at a time, I can see it holding up just fine.I would also recommend buying a good memory foam mattress for it too–as it is so much more comfortable than regular camping foam mattresses I have used in the past. And, like another reviewer, I have ordered some bed leg risers to increase it’s height so I can store more camping gear underneath (great idea!).Overall, very good product!

I was a bit surprised (and happily so) to see how solid a construction this bedframe offered. The metal used is much thicker than some other items I’ve purchased and the result is a steady, non-wobbly end product. The bolts used are decidedly heftier that what you get in a typical DIY furniture project. The tools are neatly packaged and they even include a ratchet wrench Allen key which is miles (kilometers? )better than being stuck with an S-shaped Allen key. The bolts supplied are also a bit heftier than anything I’ve seen on Ikea furniture. All in all, the joints look to be very solid and I don’t expect to need to re-tighten them anytime soon. The process was relatively fast, and if you follow the instructions in the order given, you’ll have your new bed frame put together in less than a half hour. It is well packed too so little chance of damage during basic delivery. One minor issue:The description here on Amazon stated that there was a 14″ clearance from the floor up to the bottom of the platform. This is true. It’s one of the reasons I went with this style over others. HOWEVER, Once you have the frame together and toss on the mattress (I just bought a memory-foam Douglas mattress, weighing in at 75 lbs) and sit that on top of a carpeted floor, the extra clearance I was expecting between the frame and my 13.5″ bins… well that ½” spare space disappeared as the bed sank a wee bit into the padded carpet. Now obviously this is NOT a problem with the bed frame in any way, but it is something that needs to be considered. So I’ll just need to MacGyver myself a way to raise the four legs up by an extra inch as I am not keen on spending $35 or more on a set of plastic risers.I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this frame to anyone. I’m completely happy with this purchase.
