Keeps the stink in!
Used a regular glass jar to make my Thai chili sauce which contains fish sauce. If you have ever smelled fish sauce, you will know it is an odor that wants to assault your nose, get stuck to your fingers, and live in your prefrontal cortex. If you don’t understand yet, it stinks! It’s very pungent, however, the flavor it adds to food and sauces is simply amazing! Between the strong stink of fish sauce, there is also the garlic, ginger, and 20+ bird’s eye (Thai) chilis that went in. The smell from the jar quickly overtook the refrigerator and dominated!I was asked to move it to the fridge in the garage with my giant tub of Kimchi, but I refused to let my wife boss me around! I jumped on Amazon and found this jar with a thick rubber seal and ordered it up. As soon as it arrived, I poured in the contents of my smaller jar, and boom! Problem solved! Highly recommended! Wifey is happy that the smell is gone from the fridge… less so with my breath 🙂

It’s a jar lol, but the mechanism could be of better quality
I bought this to store my IEMs with a ton of silica beads to protect them from humidity. Is it air tight? Absolutely and I can say that with confidence because the indicator silica beads are still dry despite insane humidity. My only issue is that the metallic piece that you swing down to close the jar is a bit flimsy, and I feel like it’s a matter of time before it breaks. This is speculation though, been a few weeks and it’s holding up alright.

I tried my hand at growing catnip this summer for my cat and got more than I intended. I needed something airtight to put the dried catnip in,. It had to be easy for me to shake some out for my kitty and this works perfectly. I had tried another product before this and it didnât work well at all.

Not sure if mines just faulty, but this isn’t airtight, I can still smell the goods with the jar closed.

i ordered three jars to store liquid. the glass is sturdy and clear, but the lids have problems. on each jar, the locking mechanism is slightly bent in such a way that the lid doesn’t sit completely flush against the silicone ring, so they leak.
