IF I could give it 10 stars, I would!
It might help you to evaluate my assessment of this “toaster oven” if you know a bit more about who and why I’m writing this. When I was in my 20s, I had “Haute Ciisine” level chef training but found little attracition to “food as a business.” But I DO love food, innovative ways to present it, and REALLY creative ways to minimize the work while maximizing the results. And my kitchen was in need of updates because “Time waits for no one,” and it certainly has not waited for me *OR* my kitchen! My 10 year old Hamilton Beach toaster oven with rotisserie still workef, but it was abused by time and by me. So I searched Amazon for “convection countertop ovens with rotisserie.” WOW!!! LOOK WHAT I’VE BEENMISSING! So after much deliberation, I bought a $200 00+ upgrade with tons of Bells and Whistles that even included ab Add-On pizza stone! It was damaged in shipping but worked well enough to malfunction and totally cremate A pizza! I cherfully got my money back. Yay, Amazon! My quest continued. A SUPER oven with French doors, a rotisserie, AND a bonafidie charcoal air filter to carry away the smoke from the GRILL that actually sears in grill marks! The hell with price! THIS is my dream oven! Delivered the next morning! And so began a REAL nightmare! It took nearly an hour to unpack and “prep” it for first use, which required burning out the manufacturer’s chemical residue by running it for 20 minutes at 400F!!! The stench took another 20 minutes to die! But hey, let’s PLAY! In anticipation of this magic oven, I bought a New Zealand organic grassfed WAGYU BEEF chuck roast for the super bargain price of $80.00US! The rotiserrie will turn it into the world’s most succulant faux prime rib you’ve ever tasted! I prepped it with Himalayan sea salt flakes, threaded it on the rotisserie and… The rottisedie would not turn! I hurriedly searched the owners manual. NOTHING! With bitter disappointment, I rewrapped the roast, logged onto Amazon Shopping, and asked for a refund. So began a TRUE nightmare, but that’s another story. But NOW comes the TRUE MAGIC! It took a trip to the garage to remember the brand of my tired old oven. HAMILTON BEACH! And for a “measely” $90.00US! Is this for real? YES! And with a bit of ingenuity, it does a better job than ALL the rest. Here’s how:1. Large oven capacity accepts all traditional bakewear from two 9″ cakepans to yeast bread loaves to pizzas!2. Fabulous rotisserie results! From a flock of quails loaded shoulder to shoulder to a succulent roast checken, perfection every time!3. Perfect broiling! The day it arrived I broiled perfect Turkish ” Adana Kabab” using ground lamb and traditional spices (ask Google for the scratch recipe.)4. Drop dead deliscious pizza on my pizza stone! Crispy crust with lots of toppings!5. I even found a cast iron frying pan on Amazon with a removable grate that can be preheated in this oven to produce “real” grill marks on burgers or steaks, but if you own a REAL charcoal grill, why bother?6. PERFECT “Air Fryer” results with an air fryer basket! So my happy point here is that whether you’re an advanced cook or a beginner, this Hamilton Beach convection oven CAN and WILL do anything the bells and whistle ovens can do for a REASONABLE price.I will recieve no compensation for writing this I share it because I feel consumers have a right to FULL DISCLOSURE before they buy. I hope this helps. Enjoy!

Very Nice Toaster Oven with Lots of Features
The oven controls are very easy to use. Baking heat seems to be very evenly distributed. The air fryer feature performed poorly the one time I attempted to use it following the instructions on the food product. Have not tried to use the rotisserie feature yet. The toasting function works well. The only confusion factor is that the control panel shows a “pizza” icon and a “cupcake” icon. I could not decern a difference between the functions so I asked “Customer Service.” The only difference is that the default temperature for pizza is 400 degrees and the default temperature for the cupcake (baking) setting is 350 degrees. However, you can change the temperature setting for either one. The oven shows the actual temperature as the oven is preheating and beeps when the set temperature is reached. Overall, I’m very happy with this appliance.

Perfect design for much more
This has been the go to oven for many reasons. Its size allows for cooking larger meals, baking quick breads and sweets that require larger pans, and that which a small toaster oven would not do. We regularly use it to make 2 regular 9″ tins of quick breads, at least once a week to broil, to make sals-cheese-chips, large garlic bread, and use the rotisserie for a chicken (which was a bit complicated for us). So, for larger meals, baking or larger food items you wouldn’t use needlessly in a large oven, this is a wonderful unit. May warrant 4.5-5 stars! But — for toast, bagels, English muffins, we bought a regular toaster which toasts things so much more quickly without wasting energy (this large toaster-oven is more of an oven as it takes a little half the programmed time to reach the target temperature set to cook the item — like the regular full size item)

Annoyingly noisy
This toaster oven beeps when you plug it in, for every one minute increment you change the timer, for every 5° you change the temperature, when you select convection mode, when you turn off convection mode, it beeps when you turn the oven on, it beeps when you turn it off. It is the most annoying toaster oven I have ever had.Besides being incredibly annoying, it works OK. It certainly is not the hottest or fastest toaster oven in its price range.

Love My Hamilton Beach Toaster Oven
I have loved my Hamilton Beach 31190C since May, 2021. It has lived up to everything they said it could do. In fact, I haven’t used the oven of my stove since then because the 31190C does more. The only problem is in the description where it says “LARGE-CAPACITY OVEN WITH 3 RACKS”. My toaster oven only came with 1 rack. I would like to have just one more as I could certainly use two at a time. In fact, I have gone to Hamilton Beach’s site to check out the racks. They aren’t at all expensive, but the shipping costs much more than the racks or any accessories. I suppose the description was someone’s error, but still, I feel cheated.

Don’t buy this unit
I rarely write a bad review for anything. If you can’t say something good, don’t say anything at all is my usual motto. But in this case, I purchased a useless box of metal. I tried for two months to get this thing to work (read cook) and it failed miserably. It starts with a terrible Operating Manual that leaves out most of the directions of it’s functionality. You literally have to unplug from the wall to start over every time you are punching buttons to get it going and you get it wrong. Tonight was the last straw. Put a couple sweet potatoes in it, set it for an hour at 450 and when it clicked off – they were uncooked. I can’t figure out why, bad temp gauge? heat escapes? who knows. The trouble isn’t worth it. The bad news – it’s outside the Amazon Return window. I have to eat the machine. Hope I saved you from making the same mistake.

Iâve been really impressed with the performance of this Hamilton Beach convection oven. It heats up quickly, cooks evenly, and the digital display is super easy to use. The rotisserie feature is a great bonus, especially for roasting chickenâit turns out perfectly every time! Although the oven is a bit larger than I expected, it takes up quite a bit of counter space, but the extra room inside means you can cook larger meals. Overall, itâs a fantastic appliance thatâs super versatile for baking, roasting, and toasting. A great choice if youâre looking for something that can do it all!

The product is fine but not the most user friendly. I tried to get customer service using the phone number on the user guide only to find out that the only way to get in touch with them is by email. It is hard to get customer service to be specific on what types of cookware you can actually use since they will only tell you what not to use. CYA mentality I suppose…
Sublimation for beginners –
The Hamilton Beach convection oven is absolutely perfect for sublimation projects! The convection feature ensures even heating, which is crucial for consistent results. Its spacious interior allows me to fit multiple items at once, saving me time. The digital display is user-friendly, allowing for precise temperature and time settings. What truly sets this oven apart is its even heat distribution, which is ideal for sublimation work. Itâs tall enough to accommodate 20oz tumblers standing when you remove the removable rack! The stainless steel finish adds a sleek, modern touch to my workspace. I couldnât be happier with its performance – highly recommended for anyone doing sublimation projects!

We use this daily and have had no issues with it at all. It replaced a more expensive oven. Simple to use even for my autistic daughter. Never tried the rotisserie. Would love an extra two inches of space but still very useful
