My 2nd August Yale lock
Great lock. Easy to install and remove, if needed. Software is intuitive. Easy to invite guests with cell number and remove them when access no longer needed. I use at a rental property also. With the wireless bridge you can control remotely. Can connect to Alexa and Google home, if you want. I love the auto-unlock and auto-lock features (only for owners). You walk up to door and without opening app, the door unlocks, then re-locks at a user-defined time period, if you want. Not particularly noisy when locking and unlocking door. You need a smoothly operating deadbolt before installing (no catching or pulling door to lock and unlock).2/13/25 both are still working great !!

Easy to install and use
Was looking for a smart lock where I didnât have to change the lock so decided to go with this one and glad I did. I have smaller children that started coming home from school by themselves this year and didnât trust them with keys. So something that used the existing lock and was easy to use was top priority.Installation was pretty easy. Took less than 30 mins and everything needed was in the package. I set up individual access in the app and tested it with the kids and was very easy for them to use. Lock opens fast once code or fingerprint is verified and the features to auto lock have been great as well.Couple things that would have made it 5 stars:1. A more shiny silver option. That would blend in much better with a silver handle (like mine) than the flat finish.2. Keypad could provide some feedback that a button has been pressed. Sometimes you arenât sure if it registered or not and have to tap it again. Once you get use to it, you wonât see that much but some sort of feedback (haptic?) would be helpful.3. Lots of batteries. Since I have the keypad too the lock and keypad take 4 AA and 4 AAA respectively. Need to see how these hold up but would be to have a way to use less batteries or a different size.Other than that, everything has been working well so far. Itâs worth checking out if youâre looking for this type of solution.

Worst Product from Yale
Hi, I would request Yale to provide detailed document. The installation is fine but setup process is one of the worst. There is no document. I spent 150$ for the installation guy and he spent almost 3 hours to setup with lots of trouble. Since i have got the product today, I will test this product for next 1 week. Current issues.1. Bluetooth keeps on dropping.2. Have to reset multiple times.3. Very poor document.4. App is not great..I would request Amazon to stop selling this kind of product without checking installation process, setup & document.I have to struggle and have to spend 150$ on top of product price for installation and setup.I would not recommend this product. I hope Amazon to take action immediately before customer start return the item.2nd Part Review:The notification are showing incorrect. 1st notification it has been locked. 2nd notification lock was not initiated. 3. The app says locked.Tell me, which one you will trust.I will continue to test for this week and update here.4th reviewFalse notification, i am in my home still i get notification, door has been opened.Thanks.

Installation was a snap, works, better than expected
Some reviews say there are no instructions. WRONG! There is one little piece of paper with two QR codes. One walks you through the lock installation, and the second walks you through the bridge installation. It took around 30 minutes to complete the installation. Now when I approach the door, it unlocks. Once in the house, the door locks after a preset time that you provide. It can be unlocked through Alexa after providing a verbal unlock code. Through the bridge and the app, it can be locked or unlocked from anywhere you have cell or wifi service. Great buy!

Bluetooth connection to the wall hub is not stable
I installed on my front door. There is no obstruction between the lock and the wall hub and the distance is just 5 feets. However, the connection is not stable. The finger touch keypad is also just outside the door, and the distance is still within 6 feets. Glass door is the only obstruction, but registering fingerprint does not work due to poor bluetooth connection. I needed to bring the outdoor unit back into the indoor to register the fingerprint. Even when I put that right next to the wall hub, I needed to try many times before I successfully registered my fingerprint. Registering all my family members’ fingerprints was so painful. But, otherwise, it works great.

GREAT product and step by step installation
We should have gotten this sooner. You can use your existing deadbolt lock and keys and youâll have the added features of a digital deadbolt. Anyone can install this product and Yale Access has step by step and clear, short video instructions. There’s a fingerprint reader on the keypad at the bottom or you can set up a number code. You can set the door to auto lock after a few minutes. It can even automatically open when your iPhone approaches the door. Iâm completely satisfied and Iâm a happy customer. I would highly recommend this product and company!
