Beautiful Lamp
This floor lamp looks beautiful in my living room. I received the lamp without any damage and the lamp was easy to put together. I chose this lamp because it is taller than other floor lamps, the base is metal (not plastic), and the lamp takes both kinds of light bulbs. The base is also heavy enough to be steady on a carpet.

There are differences between lamps…and the cord is hard to hide
I needed two of these lamps in black to match the interior, so I first bought 1 to try. The item came very quickly and very well packaged, all in foam, no damages, no problems with assembly, looked nice, good black color of both the base and rod. I ordered a second one the same day (again, in black), but when I received it, everything was same but the base, it is more of abrown/bronze color with some golden circles around and looks obviously different than the black rod and the other lamp. So one star off for that.The sturdiness is ok, a little problem for me is that the inside base doesn’t have any mechanism to hide the extra cord, so if you have your lamp standing close to the electric outlet, you’ll have a bunch of your extra cord just lie about the floor. Attempting to hide it below the base makes the whole lamp unstable. Another star off for that.

Exactly What I Was Looking For – Beautiful!
I needed more light in my den and this was the perfect lamp to deliver light! It was easy to assemble (says 78 year old very arthritic woman) and I put it on a flat multi purpose dolly to get it to the corner I wanted wheeling it there on the dolly and basically assempled most of it on the dolly until I had to tilt it as I’m only 5’2″ now. It went together perfectly. It is a heavy lamp – it looks very nice and has a soft light glow with the glass shade. goes to 150 watts. Also I wanted a lamp that used incandescent bulbs as I really hate LED lighting. Great torchiere lamp – love it! 🙂

The reason this is a 4 star rating is because the 2nd piece didn’t seem to screw in properly and is a different colour (not terribly obvious, but I’m an artist). I’m more concerned with the difficulty connecting the top section, but my husband is very handy and managed to do it without stripping the connection. Overall, it looks nice and the gives good light.
