Well made and a steal for the price
I just received and assembled this lamp. Itâs worth a review. Unless it quits working, itâs a steal for the discounted price (I paid forty) compared to site and big box competitorsâ if it meets your needs. There are a few things that are useful to know about it.This lamp comes with the two âsmartâ bulbs and the AA batteries for the remote all in the box (worth the price right there). Itâs very well packaged for preventing scratches and breakage. All packing materials are easily recycled except the styrofoam. Save yourself a little frustration and grab a pair of scissors before you start to remove all the plastic wraps on the tubes (they donât tear easily or slide off). Straighten out the twists and kinks in the cord from the top down before you start. All threads are well drilled and smoothly assembled. Follow the order of the assembly on the diagram in the instructions and it goes together from box to bulbs in under 10 minutes. The only slight change Iâd suggest is to put the whole stem of the lamp together before attaching it to the base. If youâve never assembled one of these lamps, it requires gently pulling a bit of extra cord out through the bottom of the tube as you screw together each higher section of tube. Thatâs much harder if itâs already attached to the base. One more tip – oddly, the two plastic nuts that hold the hoods onto the respective lamps are not interchangeable. So if you have trouble seating/threading one of the nuts (as I did), try using the other one – both of mine fit perfectly once I did that.The base is very heavy and sturdy. The matte black finish is a nice slightly textured powdercoat. No defects or scratches anywhere in the finish. The hoods are cheap plastic as you would expect at this price. Theyâre stark white, translucent but you cannot see through them without the bulb turned on. All the parts are sturdy and surprisingly well made. When the small side lamp is bent down parallel to the floor, the bulb will show a bit beneath the edge of the hood, if that bothers you.About the functionality â There are two separate sets of buttons on the remote, one set for each lamp on the fixture. The dimming feature only works (1) through the remote *and* (2) if youâre using âsmartâ bulbs. There are manual switches on each of the two lamps but they only turn on and off, no dimming capability (and btw they both need to be manually switched âonâ before you use the remote for the first time). You can also use the lamps with any regular bulb â but a regular bulb will not connect to the remote and therefore the lamps will not have a dimmer function. Iâve read other reviewers having trouble getting replacement bulbs from the manufacturer. I havenât tried this, but it seems possible that any brand of âsmartâ bulb (from a big box store or here on AMZN) might work â there are directions in the instruction pamphlet for the (simple) required steps to sync a new bulb to the remote.The included bulbs are marked as 3000K to 6000K. Kelvins refer to the color temperature â oversimplified, 2700K-3000K is the âwarmâ light of an incandescent light bulb and higher kelvins translate to âcolderâ light quality (like hospitals and daylight). So you could expect that the light from these bulbs gets warmer as you dim it down. However, in these lamps the light is not âwarmerâ at the lowest dimmed setting, just less light emitted. The bulb âcolor temperatureâ and the bulb âbrightnessâ are controlled by two separate sets of buttons on the remote â which is a nice feature! Bright/dim is controlled by the sunburst icons. Color temperature is controlled by the âCCTâ buttons (standing for Change Color Temperature?). On the coolest and brightest settings, these bulbs emit very bright, stark âwhiteâ light (no yellow tint), especially through the white hoods. This is perfect for our intended use in the basement laundry room. You can long-press the CCT button to fine tune the color temperature for other needs/settings and then also separately dim/brighten the strength of the light. I liked the lamp so much I borrowed it for my office for some extra light in there last night, on warmer settings.Only time will tell about longevity and durability, and I canât speak to customer service in the event of an issue. A PB or RH lamp this is not. But on Day 1 itâs great for the price and our needs.

Good quality for the price
Some lamps with threaded sections have connections that are flimsy or don’t go together in a clean straight line. This one has good solid joints, and assembles very well. Nice remote too! Great not having to get up and down to operate the lamps. Color temperature settings, dimmer function, all in the palm of your hand. Very nice for the price.

Awesome light one issue
This lamp is sturdy and bright, the remote stopped working, and the directions to reset won’t rest it, so still no remote, but the lamp works fine. Even if I can’t dim the lights or brighten them

Versatile
I love that you can turn one light off and leave one on. You can change from soft light to a really bright light and you can dim the light. All this from the remote. Even came with light bulbs and batteries for the remote! Very happy with this lamp.

Only one side works all of the time. The small side lamp only works occasionally.
I like the look of the lamp. It’s not the sturdiest lamp and it doesn’t set as level as you would like for it to, but my biggest issue is that it does not work correctly. Right now the top stand light is working but the small side lamp is not and nothing I have tried will make it. It has done this several times and I have been able to get it going before but this time it will not work at all. I wish I had sent it back when it happened the first time and gotten another one but I received it only a few days before having surgery and I was not able to take it to be returned after that. The reason I ordered it was because it has the remote and I was having rotator cuff surgery and I live alone and I was told I would be sleeping in my recliner so I thought instead of trying to get up to turn my light on and off I could just do it with the remote. If it worked I would like it a lot.

Fast shipping, reasonably priced, easy assembly and perfect for what I needed. Decorating for Christmas and we had to remove an end table and lamp to make room for tree, which left the room needing another light. This floor lamp fits the bill.

Let There Be Light!
I just received the floor lamp today. Usually I hesitate to write reviews so early on, but Iâm pleasantly pleased with the lamp. Overall, the lamp is better than I anticipated. Very easy to assemble. The remote control is a huge plus! Lots of bright light with the option of less light when needed. Purchased this floor lamp for my bedroom that doesnât have an overhead light. Attractive and appears durable. It brightens up my bedroom nicely.Iâd recommend this product and would purchase again in the future.
