Ideal for homeowners, renters, or maintenance professionals, the kit delivers everything needed to repair damaged screening using high-performance fiberglass mesh. The included tools are thoughtfully engineered to simplify each step—removing old spline, applying new screen material, and securing it tightly into the frame—without requiring specialized skills or experience. With one large 36″ x 90″ sheet of durable fiberglass, you can efficiently fix multiple standard windows or larger openings like patio doors and outdoor enclosures. Whether you’re patching a tear or doing a full replacement, this kit offers a reliable, cost-effective way to maintain insect protection, airflow, and natural light in your living space.
Key Features
- Durable Fiberglass Mesh: Constructed from resilient fiberglass, this screening material provides long-lasting protection against common household insects such as flies and mosquitoes. Its tough weave resists wear from windblown debris and daily use, while still allowing ample airflow and natural light through your windows and doors.
- Comprehensive Repair Tools: The kit includes a rolling tool crafted with a solid beechwood handle and double steel bearing wheels. The smooth metal rim ensures easy gliding into frame channels without scratching or damaging the screen surface, making installation both efficient and safe.
- Safety-Focused Spline Hook: A lightweight, hand-safe spline removal hook is included to extract old spline and sealing strips from tight frame corners. This tool minimizes the risk of injury and simplifies access to confined areas during disassembly.
- Secure Screen Retainer Spline: The rubber-coated spline compresses firmly into the channel to hold the new screen securely in place. Its flexibility ensures a snug fit across the entire perimeter, reducing sagging and extending the life of your repaired screen.
- Large Coverage Area: The single 36″ x 90″ sheet provides generous material for repairing several standard-sized screens, including typical residential windows, sliding glass doors, pool cages, and gazebos.

Benefits & Use Cases
This screen repair kit is especially valuable for maintaining pest-free environments in homes where insects frequently enter through open windows or gaps. The fiberglass mesh effectively blocks unwanted pests while promoting better ventilation and preserving natural daylight inside your home. It’s suitable for repairing standard residential window frames, sliding glass doors, pool enclosures, gazebos, and other outdoor screening structures. The included tools streamline every phase of the repair process: use the spline hook to gently remove old spline and sealing strips; position the new fiberglass sheet over the cleaned frame; roll it securely into place using the beechwood-handled rolling tool; then trim any excess material with care. Since all components are designed for compatibility with most standard frame channels, users won’t need additional adapters or custom modifications—just clean hands and clear instructions for a professional-grade result.
Important Notes
For best results, begin by thoroughly cleaning the screen frame and removing all old spline and debris to ensure proper adhesion and fit. Measure the opening accurately before cutting the fiberglass sheet to minimize waste. While fiberglass is highly durable, exercise caution when trimming with sharp tools to avoid fraying or tearing the mesh. Please note that this kit contains only one 36″ x 90″ sheet of screen material—larger projects may require purchasing additional sheets. The rolling tool and spline hook are optimized for use with this specific screen size and type; verify that your existing frame depth and channel width are compatible before beginning installation. Following these guidelines will help you achieve a tight, long-lasting seal that keeps insects out and maintains indoor comfort.

Worked perfectly and quick.
Only had issues removing and reinstalling the door, once it was out, the replacement mesh was perfect size, tools worked absolutely great to get old one out and new one in. Ideally stretched, level, straight and tight. No rips and easy to cut the extra sections. Did the installation in under 2 hours, most due to the physical removal and installation of the door into the frame, not the screen replacement.

Quick DIY Fix For Any Window Screen With a Rip or Tear
It always feel good to learn a new skill set that results in money saving. One such skill is replacing the mesh screen on a bedroom or backyard sliding door. Having had previous experience a few years ago replacing my backyard screen mesh, I knew replacing the bedroom window mesh shouldn’t be too difficult. This product comes with a roll of mesh and all the tools needed to get the job done. The entire job took less than 20 minutes to complete. If you have a 2nd person to help you out, it makes the job quicker because the 2nd person can help hold and gently pull the mesh tightly as you lay down the rubber seal into the frame with the mesh underneath.Once complete, you can stand back and enjoy a sense of accomplishment knowing you did it all yourself. It’s been 2 months now and the mesh still looks solid.I highly recommend this product for anyone looking to replace their window screen. Take on the challenge. Amaze yourself!!

Good Screen; Small Spline
The screen material is good and the tools made the project easy. The only problem was that the spline is a small diameter and didn’t hold the screen in place. I had to use the old spline to hold the screen in place.

This is a great kit!
This is my 1st time buying this kit. I really like that everything’s included. I was able to change the screen within 15 minutes. The tools are good quality and there’s plenty of screen and spline. I recommend this kit.

Worked ok, but could be better
Overall, the set had everything I needed. However, the screen material (supposedly fiberglass) is not very durable. It torn in several places when inserting the vinyl into the channel to secure the screen. Either that, or the rolling tool is too sharp and actual cuts the screen. I was able to adjust my technique to work ok, but I’m not sure if they will last unfortunately.

I canât speak highly enough about this terrific product. Excellent grade quality, professional install tools, and the sharp hook tool even came in a quadruple thick little plastic bag so it would not damage the screen in shipping. Now THAT is attention to detail! There was even a cute little âThank Youâ sticker as a box closure. Total job took 10 minutes, a box cutter blade to cut the screen, and just a little patience to look like a factory installation! Kudos to this Seller, you did everything right!

I had a tear in my rvâs screen door for several years without knowing how to fix. I bought this on a whim and was surprised to see how easy it was to rectify the problem. Simple, inexpensive and effective. Just how I like it.

Thought I would try this as my windows have had small holes from the cats and I was not ready to spend money for whole new screens. The kit was easy to use, and everything you need is in the box.My old screens were metal so removing them created a lot of dust. The screen in this kit is a softer, almost plastic feel, so easier to work with and stretch with ease. Super durable so I didnât worry about it pulling apart. If possible, do this outside! The debris from pulling out the old screen was intense and clean up wouldâve been easier outside; give yourself some spaceThis was a great DIY kit, as someone with no experience I was able to rescreen two windows in about an hour. Definitely would purchase again. My windows look new again just from this simple fix.
