Product Overview
The Nuwave 6-quart Brio Healthy Digital Air Fryer with One-Touch is a powerful, precision-engineered kitchen appliance designed for home cooks who want restaurant-quality results with less oil and faster prep times. Built by NuWave, an American brand based in Vernon Hills, Illinois, the Brio combines advanced culinary technology with eco-conscious design to deliver healthier, more flavorful meals. Whether you’re frying up golden french fries, roasting a whole chicken, or reheating leftovers with perfect crispiness, this air fryer ensures consistent performance every time. Its spacious 6-quart capacity supports cooking two pounds of fries or a 3.5-pound chicken—making it ideal for couples or small families seeking convenience without compromise.
Key Features
- Consistent Cooking Temperature: Unlike many air fryers that can deviate from their set temperature by as much as 40°F, the Brio monitors internal heat 120 times per second to ensure accuracy. This real-time tracking prevents undercooking or burning, delivering perfectly crispy results consistently—every single time.
- Even Heating System: The patented Fry Pan Basket features a stainless steel meshed net and perforated walls that allow super-heated air to circulate around your food from all directions simultaneously. This 360-degree airflow ensures uniform browning and crispiness, eliminating cold spots and soggy centers.
- Advanced Temperature Control: With an adjustable range from 100°F to 400°F in precise 5°F increments, the Brio gives you full control over your cooking. Whether you’re gently warming tortillas, searing steaks, or deep-frying favorites at high heat, the digital interface makes adjustments simple and accurate via button presses.
- Convenient Preset Functions: The unit includes dedicated Reheat and Preheat buttons for quick recovery or preheating cycles. Additionally, six popular dishes are preprogrammed into the menu, allowing one-touch preparation of common favorites like fries, chicken, and more—reducing guesswork and saving time.
- Removable Divider Insert: Only available on the 6-quart model, this innovative insert lets you cook two separate foods at once—such as roasting potatoes while grilling fish—without mixing flavors. It’s perfect for meal variety and efficient multi-dish cooking within a single cycle.

Benefits & Use Cases
The Nuwave Brio 6-Quart Air Fryer is especially well-suited for individuals and small households looking to enjoy fried-style foods at home using significantly less oil than traditional methods. Its large capacity allows you to prepare family-sized portions—perfect for serving two pounds of crispy fries or a whole chicken with even browning and juicy interiors. The removable divider insert adds versatility by enabling dual-zone cooking, so you can roast vegetables while frying wings or bake a side dish alongside your main course—all in one go.
Users particularly appreciate the accurate temperature control, which eliminates the guesswork often associated with air frying. No more worrying about fluctuating heat levels or uneven cooking. The presets simplify meal prep, whether you’re reheating pizza slices with restored crunch or preheating quickly before adding fresh food. Many customers also value the balance of performance and affordability, noting that the Brio offers professional-grade features without premium pricing.
While some buyers have shared mixed feedback regarding long-term durability and size limitations for very large meals, most agree that the Brio performs reliably for everyday use. It’s ideal for those transitioning from deep fryers to healthier alternatives, offering the familiar texture and taste of fried foods with reduced fat content. From weeknight dinners to weekend feasts, the Brio supports diverse meal plans with minimal effort.
Important Notes
To maintain optimal performance, always refer to the user manual for proper cleaning instructions and safe usage guidelines. The included components are the main air fryer unit, the patented Fry Pan Basket with removable divider insert, and access to six preprogrammed menu options. For best results, avoid overcrowding the basket to ensure consistent airflow and even cooking. While the Brio excels at achieving crispy exteriors and tender interiors, performance may vary slightly depending on food type, quantity, and preparation method.
As with any kitchen appliance, regular maintenance and careful handling will help extend its lifespan. Some users have reported concerns about build quality over extended use, so storing the unit properly and avoiding impacts during movement is recommended. Despite these considerations, the Nuwave Brio remains a top choice for health-conscious cooks seeking speed, convenience, and superior results in a single appliance.

So good we bought another!
This is one of the few that have a wattage adjustment. This is important when high power draw wont work. We bought the second unit for our travel trailer and can run it when we are off grid at the 500w setting. Our home unit can run from the same socket as the microwave, we just run it on the lower settings. You can warm it up at 1800w, then lower to 500w and run the microwave etcIts been reliable, easy to use, and versatile

Seems very good, helpful CS Reps
I liked it from the start, but later realized, the inner fry basket and the handle didn’t remove from the fry pan base like it should, so I messaged NuWave and they sent new parts, and now it works like it’s supposed to. I had a Gourmia air fryer for 5 years, and one day I overheated it by overcooking plantains, and it stopped working, so I decided to try a NuWave unit. It’s bigger than my old one, and quieter. It seems to be a very good air fryer.

Great air fryer and more!
Love this air fryer. It cooks fries etc, but it does so much more. Itâs very easy to use and comes with a booklet with a variety of recipes too.

So far it’s great!
Got this for my dad as his older one (6 years or so) but the dust after much use (not daily, but several times a week!). This is exactly what he wanted and he says it works perfectly. He had the same brand one before and was happy to get a slightly larger newer version.

Disappointing
UPDATEI would give zero stars if I could.I received what looked like a refurbished power base as a replacement, without the basket! It was a different model and looked more used than my faulty unit. In response to my complaint, the seller asked for me to return the unit in exchange for a complete unit. I am reluctant because what if I got another refurbished unit? I have sent my feedback to the seller and reported to Amazon, that the replacement policy is unclear and in someways, insincere. In the time it took me to figure this out, I could have gotten a new unit elsewhere!TOTALLY disappointed.*****************************************************I was initially excited with the promises of this product with the different cooking modes etc.I expected higher quality finishing but was disappointed when it turned out âmehâ.The edges of the plastic housing were sharp and I had to be very careful during handwashing to not hurt myself. I had to also be careful when sponging the metal basket, so it was not easy to clean properly.I use mostly the Reheat and Toast options and not every day. Occassionally, I use the manual mode (with Preheat or Sear) to cook meats and fish and sometimes (Fresh Fries) for cooking potatoes. It handles the Fried foods well (Reheat) but I was not able to get the doneness that I want when attempting meats. Usually I would overcook them because they did not brown properly and I end up with overdone meats. These were done without following the manual.I was most disappointed when mmthe fryer died on me suddenly less than a year since I got it. It just shut off and could not be powered on at all. The seller was responsive and is sending me a new replacement unit per the warranty, but to be honest, I am cautious about its quality.I was looking at other brands already, but letâs see if the replacement works out better than my first unit.
