Can sense motion through boxes and other obstacles which is exactly what we needed for the dark end of our garage by the garage door. We have stacks of boxes and other storage that would block line-of-sight sensors, this sensor can see through them and comes on as soon as we open the garage door.It’s bright. We attached it to a floodlight hood-lamp that clips to one of the workshop shelves and can be moved around if needed.It came with a bonus we didn’t consider when we bought it but we’re happy about. If someone walks past the garage outside, it sense them, the light comes on and shines through the crack which would alert an intruder that there are motion-sensing lights on the premises, a deterrent to prowling.So far it’s working flawlessly.

Do not buy – waaaaaaaay to sensitive – stays on almost all the time
I saw this problem (too sensitive) mentioned by others but figured it was a fluke (not a common problem).WRONG. These things are too sensitive – ANYTHING will make them turn on. I’ve literally watched it turn on when:1. Snowing (stays on as long as it snows)2. Raining (stays on as long as it snows)3. A leaf falls out of the tree4. TAPPING ON THE WALL INSIDE THE HOUSE on which the light is mounted outside. Note I said tapping – not banging.It’s so sensitive, it’s useless – might as well just be a dusk to dawn light.Do not buy.

I was not able to use this item. I bought it to replace a double spotlight above my garage doors. This is not a unit, but two spotlights that need to be placed a distance apart from one another.

Pretty sensitive. Work as expected. If there is some light in the daytime it won’t turn on even though the room isn’t bright so it has some shortcomings.

Works well so far but it has only been a week, good logical type of sensor light bulb, the old reliable motion sensor lights when the motion sensor itself screwed up the fixture was usually thrown out these sensor bulbs if they failed can easily be replaced making the light much less expensive.
