Impressive Smart Lock
This a very good smart lock. Its solid well built and loaded with features you cant even get on more expensive locks. Favorite feature is the fingerprint reader so convenient and responsive. Or remotly unlocking using voice commands with the included wifi gateway. No more pulling keys out my pocket. App is easy to navigate and integration of home assistant is a big plus. Color and finish add a very clean and beautiful look to the door that im sure youll love like me. I cant comment on battery life bc i havent owned it that long but seems it will last for months. Try it

Had an issue, but 100% satisfied with service!
I got this lock for a second property that I visit every 1-2 months. Neighbors also help out, so I liked that I could control remotely and various entry methods w fingerprint, card, or code. The install was easy and no problem first weekend. When I returned about a month later, the battery was dead. It appears there was a short and it was attempting to unlock continuously, draining the battery in a few days. Obviously not ideal.I am still giving 5 star review because the customer service was amazing. I reached out not expecting much since I had purchased it a few months before I found the failure. But they responded promptly, gave me trouble shooting ideas, and then offered to return or refund 100%. I would have taken a replacement, but due to it being a second property and infrequent visits, I went with a simpler model and less features to ensure access and took the refund.The company asked for the lock back to do debugging on what caused the short, and I agreed, but had to wait until next trip by then, so all told, it was almost 6 months from purchase to conclusion, but that was entirely due to my schedule and they had no problem working with me and always responded quickly. I do think I got a random defect and if was for my primary house, would order it again.

The lock is very functional easy to install app is easy To install. Good Value for the price. I love the key fob. I love that you can have control and allowing access to others by providing a code that Is valid for a day a week or a month.However, the lock becomes unresponsive after a couple of days and we have to keep changing batteries. I reached out to customer service and winter responded to me. A new lock will be sent to me free of charge. I am very happy with the response of customer service. They strive to make customers happy with their product.

Nice looking lock⦠a few issues
The lock was very easy to install. It works to unlock the door with our fingerprints, fobs, codes, and keys. Weâve been using the lock for a few days now. Itâs a nice looking lock; however, Alexa notes the lock is âunresponsiveâ most of the time. We canât make sure the door is locked when weâre away from home due to this. The lock doesnât notify when the door is locked or unlocked by someone all of the time (itâs sometimes hours later), and the status of the lock is often inaccurate (i.e., it says door is âlockedâ when itâs actually unlocked). Thinking about returning for a different brand due to these reasons. Otherwise, it works great for the non Wi-fi features and I love the door handles.Update: Customer service reached out to try to help fix the issues, but I had already decided to return for a different lock instead of trying to troubleshoot.

Smart Lock – Very high class design and A++ Customer Service
Wow this lock looks very impressive. Love that you can open it with your fingerprint or with a code but you also get keys and a tile to unlock. I also love the control you have in allowing access to others simply by providing them with a code thatâs valid for a day or for however long you want. It was relatively easy to install though I did run into an issue but I contacted customer service and Elaine was very helpful and accomodating. Thank you Smart Lock for a product thatâs simplified my life!!

Updates to the Smart Things App resets the lock’s memory and fingerprint reader can be improved
Updated Review 11.9.2024:Alright, Iâm changing my 5-star review to a 1-star review. In my previous review, the only major issue I had with the lock was the fingerprint reader. Over time, it got to the point where it could read my fingerprint on my thumbs on the first try about 95% of the time. However, this new issue makes the lock practically useless and incredibly annoying.There seems to be a recurring disconnect between the Smart Things app and the lock whenever thereâs an update or change to the app. After the recent update, I had to acknowledge some policy updates before reconnecting my lock. Because of this update, all my settings on the lock were reset. The volume was no longer on mute, the auto-lock feature was turned back off, and somehow, my fingerprint scans were unlinked. I can deal with re-enabling the auto-lock and muting the volume via the app. However, all my fingerprints and passcodes are still saved in the app but are somehow disconnected from the lock itself. The only way to fix this is to redo all the fingerprints and passcodes on the lock.It seems that the lockâs memory gets wiped whenever the app is updated, which is absolutely ridiculous. This same issue happened once before, about a month after I got the lock. At that time, I thought it was a fluke, so I redid all the scans and passcodes. Everything was fine for seven months, but now itâs happened again. This is unacceptable and absolutely worthy of a 1-star review. The user should not have to re-enter their fingerprints just because the app changes. SMONET needs to figure out a way to update the lockâs firmware to safeguard its stored information when updates occur. I will NOT change this review until they fix this issue.Reviewed on March 22, 2024:It’s clear why this product has earned a 5-star rating despite some challenges encountered.Initially, the handle setup instructions were unclear, but customer service quickly provided a helpful video that simplified the process. To save time, it would be beneficial to include this video with the initial instructions. Be sure to check out the video on Amazon for additional guidance.Once installed, the lock appeared to function properly, including the fingerprint reader. However, on the following day, the fingerprint reader experienced inconsistencies and even locked out a few times. After reaching out to customer service, several solutions were attempted, such as deleting and rescanning fingerprints and adding multiple profiles for each finger. Unfortunately, these efforts did not resolve the issue.In response to these concerns, customer service promptly sent a replacement product without requiring the return of the original lock. Upon receiving the new lock, I performed thorough tests on the fingerprint reader before installing it on my door. The lock functioned well during testing; however, after a couple of days post-installation, the same fingerprint reader issues resurfaced.After contacting customer service once more, they empathized with the frustration and offered a full refund without requiring me to return either lock.Although the fingerprint reader has room for improvement, SMONET’s customer service is exceptional. They consistently went above and beyond to assist and address concerns, never hesitating to find a suitable resolution. A special thanks to the customer service representative Hellen for their outstanding support.Aside from the fingerprint reader, the lock’s other features such as the keypad, autolock, and app work remarkably well. Keeping just one finger or thumb registered seems to improve the fingerprint reader’s performance. Considering the excellent customer service and functionality of other features, the 5-star rating is genuinely deserved.
