very easy to install once i figured out all my measurements for building my doorwith 5 pieces for the rail it does go bump bump over the bar jointsa couple rail parts wouldn’t fit tight so had to squeeze jaws just a bit ta the joint tighterother than that and watching u-tube vids it was easy and looks great

Terrible product
The main flat bars insert in place but very loose causing the bar to not stay straight. And door moves all over the place as it’s sliding across. To many small flat bar sections/pieces in the first place. Terrible design!

Simple is not alway better
Simple to assemble and install BUT the product details states that this barn door kit can hold a door up to 250 lbs. The rail does not assemble snugly so the door opens on a roller coaster. The spacers are particular so know the specs of your door. My door has bolt covers on the back that are about 3/4″ and I had to turn the door around because the covers were scratching the wall during opening/closing. I have to either weld the rail joint together or replace it with a solid iron piece. May work perfectly if you have very light doors. Three stars for the main required feature of the kit, the rail. Everything else seems durable and well made. This kit sacrifices quality and function for easier shipping.

Super easy install
What a simple product! And a great value! I put up a sliding door over my laundry closet using this and I don’t think it took me more than an hour total to finish the whole project. What a difference! All the parts were there, and seem to be of good quality. It has been working perfectly for a few weeks now, and looks fantastic! Was looking for.

Attractive and sturdy barn door hardware
We used this to separate a master bedroom from a built-in bathroom that didn’t have a door. The panel we used was a piece of 3/4″ plywood with 3/4″ pieces layered on top for design, brining the thickness to about 1.5″. It is a very heavy door panel, but this hardware handles it beautifully. The instructions are clear, the materials are sturdy, and the black finish looks nice. This is a good value for adding a simple barn door to your home.

Great addition to your barn door project
I’ve built and installed multiple barn doors with various “kits”. This kit is the first one I’ve installed that truly had ALL the hardware you need. Tracks, floor guides, handles for both sides AND a latch.The hardware its self is well made and solid. The most important parts of any barn door are the tracks and the wheels that go on the tracks. These appear to be well made and they are working great.The hardest part of this is building the barn door and making sure it’s the right dimensions to fit. You should pay close attention to the instructions and what the measurements for the door are. If you get this right then your installation will be relatively easy. If you don’t….. well, it’s not going to be easy and it’s not going to work right.The other thing that this kit got right that others haven’t is the spacing for the holes for the track that the barn door rides on. They are spaced at 16 inches. SO, if your framers did a good job you’ll be able to get a bolt into a wall stud all the way across the track.I can find no reason this kit won’t hold up to years of use. the nice thing about barn doors is they’ll last a long time it installed properly. Like a lifetime of use if installed properly.Read the directions and take your time. This is actually a fun home improvement project.

Cheaper than box store
We changed some of our doors to barn style sliding doors. These brackets look great, install easy, work well and cheaper than box stores. Over all very happy with the purchase and will be looking at more of them for the other doors.
