Apperars to be well made and works as expected I think this was a good choise only time will tell
Arrived in good condition despite the appearance of the shipping box which was crunched and gouged. The microwave works as expected the control panel is mostly logical and easy to use. Has a reminder chime if you forget to remove the food it pings once a minute or so. I considered many ovens offered read a hundred Amazon product reviews the good, the bad and the ugly. Very difficult to decide. Ratings with a large review count never went beyond 70% good. So I focused on the nature of the pros and cons particularly how bad the fails were disregarding the nit picky and made my own sore card. In the end the GE appeared to offer an acceptable price, the desired specs with the lowest risk of getting a lemon and. But I confess it was also in part a guess.

Perfect fit replacing a Jennair JMC1116AS. Works well at a good price
I was replacing a Jennair JMC1116AS and wanted an affordable option. The dimensions looked the same so I gave this a shot. I’m not sure about the internal components, but the shell looks to be identical, likely stamped on the same equipment. It fit perfectly in the same mounts, all the holes lined up perfectly. The performance is identical to the previous unit. This is a cost effective option for replacing a higher end unit.

Microwave Oven Will Not Unlock After Cooking Food â Door Lock Defective
Unboxed the new microwave to use for Christmas Eve dinner. We disabled the child lock feature by following the instructions, as we do not have any young children in the household. My Husband placed food inside and cooked the food for 30 seconds, but door would not unlock/release to remove the food. The food and plate are now locked inside the microwave oven. We tried all the troubleshooting tips listed in the operatorâs manual, as well as unplugged it, but the door will not unlock. Also searched online for videos to address this issue and found the door lock mechanism is defective. We attempted Amazonâs âGet Product Supportâ option, but none of the videos addressed our issue. Called the Amazon tech support center, but was connected to a person with a very strong foreign accent of some sort that we could not understand at all and were unable to communicate. We wanted to exchange the defective unit with a replacement, but return/replace is not an option for this item, so Iâm returning it and buying an alternative brand from somewhere else. Very frustrated!

Works great.
The feet were not even. Had to put a quarter under right rear foot to level. Too much hassle to return.

great size, power and clean look
arrived very quickly and exactly as described. The size is perfect for a large microwave yet small enough to fit into a slightly smaller area. The power seems to be the same as the old one we had. Runs quiet compared to the old one.

Just what I was looking for!
Letâs begin with this was exactly what I wanted. It took me a while to figure out how to replace my broken 4 year old Whirlpool (Model WMC30516HZ0). I looked for a new Whirlpool but of course they discontinued that model. So I considered the newest model but it was priced at $299. I then found this GE Microwave. I read the below reviews, checked and rechecked the size of it, and decided to give it a go! The most important thing to me was for it to be the exact same size so that I could literally swap the microwave but use the exact same mount and trim piece. And it worked perfectly! Now if I get another 4+ years out of it, I will consider it a success! For those that care, the control panel on my old Whirlpool microwave went out. I believe it would still work but the actual Start button stopped functioning. And there was no other way to just get it to start warming. Oh well.. Iâm a GE customer now.
