Its standout feature—the lift-top mechanism—allows users to raise the surface from 18.3″ to 23.7″, transforming it into a convenient workstation, dining surface, or ergonomic writing desk while seated on the couch. Supported by a robust metal frame and high-quality MDF board, the structure ensures stability during use. With multiple storage compartments and a sleek finish, this coffee table enhances both organization and style in any room.
Key Features
- Lift Top Design: The adjustable top provides a height range of 18.3″ to 23.7″, making it suitable for laptops, writing, meals, or casual work sessions while relaxing on the sofa. The mechanism is engineered for smooth, silent operation, thanks to premium hinges that prevent wobbling and ensure reliable performance over time.
- Large Hidden Storage Compartment: Beneath the lift-up surface lies a spacious concealed area designed to store frequently used items such as magazines, remote controls, small electronics, or even a chess set. This keeps your living space tidy while keeping essentials within reach.
- Multiple Storage Solutions: In addition to the hidden compartment, the table includes two separate drawers and one open shelf. These provide ample organization options for books, office supplies, personal items, or decorative accessories, helping maintain a clutter-free environment.
- Durable Construction: Built with a sturdy metal frame and solid MDF board finished with melamine veneer, the table supports up to 100 lbs without swaying or instability. The reinforced structure ensures long-term durability and reliable daily use.
- Multifunctional Use: This versatile piece adapts seamlessly across settings—whether used as a coffee table in the living room, a laptop desk at home, or a functional surface in a reception area or small apartment. Its design fits naturally into modern, industrial, and rustic interiors alike.
- Easy Assembly: Complete with clear instructions and all necessary tools, the assembly process typically takes about 30 minutes. Most users can put it together independently, though individual experience may vary based on mechanical familiarity.
- Low-Maintenance Surface: The melamine veneer finish resists water, heat, and dust, making cleanup simple—just wipe with a damp cloth. This ensures the table remains clean and presentable with minimal effort.

Benefits & Use Cases
The Panana Coffee Table with Lift Top excels in environments where flexibility and space efficiency are essential. In a living room setting, it transforms passive seating into an active workspace—perfect for remote workers who occasionally need a stable surface for laptops or students completing homework on the couch. The ability to adjust the table height allows users to maintain better posture and comfort, reducing strain during extended use.
For families, the combination of visible and hidden storage makes daily life more organized. Children can keep toys or games neatly tucked away in the drawers, while adults store remotes, chargers, or reading materials in easy-to-access compartments. The open shelf offers display space for decor or frequently used items, enhancing both function and aesthetics.
This table is equally effective in smaller spaces such as studio apartments, lofts, or guest rooms where every square inch counts. Its compact footprint—just over 44 inches wide and 22 inches deep—makes it ideal for tight corners or alongside sofas without overwhelming the room. At full extension, the lift-top creates a generous surface area for meals, crafts, or collaborative activities.
Customers consistently praise the table’s build quality and stability, noting that it doesn’t wobble when lifted or loaded. Many appreciate how the retro industrial design complements a variety of interior styles, from urban loft to farmhouse chic. Whether placed in a family lounge, executive office, or entryway console area, this table serves as a practical and stylish focal point.
Important Notes
- While most users find assembly straightforward, some report minor challenges depending on their level of mechanical skill. Following the provided instructions carefully helps ensure a smooth setup process.
- The lift mechanism is designed for user-friendly operation, but exceeding the recommended load capacity of 100 lbs may affect performance and longevity. Always distribute weight evenly across the surface.
- To preserve the melamine finish, avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or soaking the table in water. A simple damp cloth is sufficient for routine maintenance.
- All required hardware and tools are included in the package—no additional purchases are necessary for assembly or use.
- Customer feedback highlights satisfaction with the table’s sturdiness and storage capacity, though opinions vary slightly regarding assembly difficulty and perceived lift smoothness. Real-world usage shows strong overall reliability when used within specified limits.

Very time consuming to build
The coffee table is exactly how itâs pictured, good quality and very sturdy. It says on there that it takes an hour to assemble and well honestly it took my husband and I 4 hours to build. Thereâs a lot of steps to it (that are very easy to follow) but if you donât mind that then Iâd recommend it. Thatâs really the only bad thing I saw from this item everything else was perfect!

Pretty good so far!
The table looks nice and is generally durable. I only worry about the tabletop because it seems to be plywood or something cheap = stains and chips. Nothing of the sort so far though. The lifting contraption was a little tricky to put in the correct direction, but no biggie. What is a little inconvenient though, is that you have to lift and push down on both sides. If you only push one side, only that side goes down vice versa. It’s a little tough to lift and push, but I’d rather have that than something flimsy that falls down easily. It is a little on the heavy side and set up takes an hour or two. Overall, pretty happy with it!

Good quality, easy build 10/10 for me

Disappointing
I was very excited about the storage design of this table and was very disappointed when putting it together. The holes were drilled misaligned at the top and in one of the drawers. I spent hours reconfiguring the alignment so that it would fit. The wood quality is cheap and sadly I feel that the table is not going to last very long. I do not feel that it was worth the money or time spent putting it together.

East to put together.
Stable/sturdy, east to put together, table top opens easy and no issues. Have had table for a few months. Still as good as the first day.

Will be faster to assemble with two people but really great for extra storage space.
Built this by myself and it look me longer than it might have if I had some help. The hardest part of the assembly was getting the metal components that allows the table top to lift in the right place and making sure I had screwed it in correctly. Second hardest was making sure I put the drawer tracks in the correct place, but wasn’t as much of a pain as it could’ve been. Between the compartment under the top, the two small drawers, and the shelf space underneath the table itself, this gives a lot of extra storage for someone in a smaller space. I personally use the compartment underneath for sewing/crochet supplies and still have lots of room left over. Also great lazy girl furniture if you don’t want to have to lean over to get your coffee. The table itself is very sturdy but the mechanisms for the lift can be a bit stiff. If I want it to lift evenly on both sides (which of course you do), I have to grab both edges and lift simultaneously. Not a bad thing but if you’re looking for a coffee table lift to come up one handed, this isn’t the one for you.
