Not for the timid…
Love this door, worked perfectly in the space we upgraded. We wanted to get rid of an in-swing regular door on a small bathroom in a private apartment we have over the garage. I wondered why they didn’t put in a pocket door in the first place because the door ate up too much space when open. That said, that’s exactly what a barn door is–an external pocket door. This one was perfect because 1) inexpensive and 2) made of PVC and therefore totally waterproof and lightweight.Now the down side. Because it is so cheap and shipped free with ‘Prime’, it comes in a bazillion pieces. The instructions are almost totally pictorial, so a bit of a challenge to put it together. I enjoyed it, but I could see how it could go south really fast. PVC is interesting to work with, but you do have to be careful with it. Definitely worth the bother to the intrepid DIY’er.

Very thin and cheap plastic. Looks good and style is nice. But can easily be broken by a 7yr old.

Surprisingly nice for such a cheap price!
Not perfect quality. Some small chips on a couple of the windows. Not perfect fitment of all the parts. With patience it went together quickly. Too flimsy for regular doorways but perfect for a closet.Once it was up it looks great. I wouldnât use this door for a regular doorway but for the laundry closet this is perfect solution.

DO NOT BUY
My family and I are now living in a smaller space and to update the place we wanted a bathroom door that didn’t bump into our TV when opening outward or bump into the sink if opening inward, so barn door was the perfect fit. As everything now-a-days, these doors are soooooo expensive so I went with this one which had OK reviews. THANK GOD for my handy husband, this door DID NOT come with all the screws it stated it brought. It is an off white color, not white. VERY plastic feels, overall I would’ve rather returned it but by the time we noticed we were missing screws, we had already built the door and just needed to add the rails (top and bottom). And since this is just a place we are renting, I was not going to buy something much more expensive. BUT IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A BARN DOOR, DO NOT BUY THIS ONE!

Flimsy but nice look
I did read the other reviews before buying that stated this door was flimsy and not great quality, but the look and size was exactly what we needed so we took a chance. The first one we ordered had a broken panel, so we had to replace the whole door. Overall, it works well, but you have to be very gentle with it. Sometimes the glide gets caught.
